What’s your goal? Weight loss or something else?

Everything recommended in this thread should help with your fast. Except the IBS (patreon) and Enhanced Cellular Nutrient Absorption tracks:

Right, I was going to say if your goal is weight loss then keeping hydration in is probably better for you. You can still avoid food for this period. The other suggestions here are good for fields

Nope, when in times of mild dehydration, the body starts making particles of hydrogen out of fat cells to form h2o. That’s why dry fasting may be better for weight loss. Probably not worth it though, you can only lose so much fat in a day, if you’re extremely lucky maybe a pound max. But most of the weight loss is water weight.

Won’t the jojo effect kick in ?

Depends on too many factors. But if you’re on a ketogenic diet you won’t gain that fat back assuredly. If you’re on a low carb diet you probably won’t. That doesn’t include the other important factors.

Yes, but once a person rehydrates they then put on that water weight again. The number one cause of water retention is not drinking water, which is why boxers continue to drink water when they are looking to lose weight. If you ever try intermittent fasting, you will notice your body tries to release water at the end of the fast

Re read what I wrote. Water gain is different to fat cells converting to hydrogen to form h2o because a lack of hydration. You don’t gain that fat back once you re hydrate. You indeed gain the water weight back overtime. Unless you maintain an anti inflammatory diet.

(Remember fat is just bounds of hydrogen atoms) I think that’s what got you confused with the water weight, which is something different.
