Guys I’ve actually boosted my golem and in the process of a 2nd boost before realizing I havent gave it a name and acknowledged his birth etc. Is the golem still usable ?
And should I stop the boosting to do what I forgot to or do it after the current boost process is over

I think that it should be fine. A name is not necessary but if you like, you can try giving the dragon a name now by asking it to respond to the name. You can also simply call it ‘dragon golem’ or ‘dragon’.

Do I have to imagine the dragon as shown in the picture or how I like to see it

You don’t need to imagine the picture. I think the picture might not be meant to be how the dragon looks.
In the description, it says the dragon is impressively beautiful and powerful, his skin covered with iridescent green and gold scales that are chiselled with fine detail. So you can try to imagine the description. 
Although it might help, I think it’s also not necessary to be able to imagine or see the dragon to talk to it.
