Histamine

If you’re dealing with bloating, brain fog, or persistent allergies, this article is for you.
We’ll cover the main causes of histamine overload, the areas it affects, and the exact fixes to clear it.

Causes

Gut Dysbiosis & Leaky Gut Lack of good bacteria prevents proper breakdown of histamine and causes immune system overreactions.
Dehydration Histamine spikes dramatically when the body is even slightly dehydrated or lacking electrolytes.
Processed Foods & Additives Seed oils, citric acid, chemical preservatives, and high-histamine foods (like aged cheese or tomatoes).
Chronic Stress & Environment Elevated cortisol and environmental triggers overstimulate mast cells to release excessive histamine.

Affected Areas

Immunity & Respiratory System Seasonal allergies, hay fever, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.
Gut & Digestive Tract Bloating, food sensitivities and poor nutrient absorption.
Nervous System & Brain Brain fog, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and heightened systemic stress response.
Skin & Connective Tissue Hives, redness, swelling, and localized allergic reactions.

Fix

Seal gut lining. Bone broth 2x+ daily (first thing in morning).
Hydrate properly. 3 liters of water + 5–15g sea salt daily.
Avoid low carb. Eat clean carbs like white rice.
Eliminate processed foods, seed oils, citric acid, and high-histamine foods.
Quercetin, L-theanine, + 400mg magnesium, and 5g acerola cherry powder (Vitamin C).
Stinging nettle tea, cold pressed black seed oil, and raw honey.
Raw carrots or white button mushrooms with meals.
