Holding space for the injustices in the world

Hi beautiful souls,

I have been wondering about something and I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

In what way can we make space for all the injustices going on in the world, while at the same time understanding that everyone is experiencing what they are meant to go through at this given time? Like, I might have or have had an incarnation where I lived in a country where there is war or extreme violence, slavery, discrimination etc. But right now in this life I’m not and as I’m expanding my consciousness I get more and more realisations of truth. Of us being One. And so I don’t want to look away from all the injustices that are happening, but at the same time I’m realizing it is also part of how we are growing as a Universe.

So how are you peeps holding space for all of that?

I try to give gratitude in every moment I remember, in difficult interactions, to people struggling. That’s one thing that has been helping me.

Excellent question… One that I ask myself all too often these days.

I find it a matter of always remembering that realization. Don’t forget that in essence this is all essentially a game, where every soul is on its own individual journey and leveling up, no matter what their life looks like. This is important to remember because it becomes very easy to get pulled in by the gravity of darkness in the world. Especially these days, how hopeless and bleek the future may look.

Because, the way I personally hold space for it is by continuing to be a positive energy in this ocean. Continue spreading love. Doing the right thing. Give respect and empathy to people who are going through it.

All while living my day to day life. It’s not something I force. Moments appear when I can leave a place/person better than I found it, and if time/energy permits, I do what I can to improve it. At the end of the day, I just water the plant of humanity every now and then when the opportunity presents itself. But I try not too stress too much about it…

It’s hard not to though. And I’m not sure that this sort of passiveness and just acceptance of people being on their paths might be appropriate in this given point in time.

I am invested in humanity evolving and reaching their greater potential. Humanity will never be open to the stars and the rest of the universe if we don’t evolve our consciousness. We are also living in a dangerous period of time where the powers that be are accelerating new levels of control over the populace like nothing ever seen before. The fates of the majority of humans are being decided by elite sociopaths with absolutely no care for what happens to the rest of us. And that just … rubs me off as very unfair.

It’s always been this way, yes. But, we are living in a very small window of time where 99% of people can do something about this. It will be extremely difficult in a future where mass AI surveillance that tracks your every move to a degree that we lose the ability to ever speak against what’s going on or have any ability to even fight back.

So it actually feels like being passive to what’s going on, is sort of giving permission for the old world order to continue to impose its control over humanity… keep us more divided. Keep us more in these negative loops. Keep us from evolving. They are hindering our growth and well, we are here to grow. So, this is an internal imbalance that is happening globally.

And everyday for me, it feels like spirituality is finding a way to help humans unite and rise against this. Idk how to do that though. But it’s a feeling a get far too often when I go deep into meditation.

Great, great question though. I clearly don’t fully have an answer to it as it’s something I still try to answer quite often these days.

Thank you for your insight! It’s very helpful to hear how others are viewing this matter and that I’m not alone in struggling with this!

It’s particularly interesting for me as I have been away from actively working on my spiritual journey for a bit. Lots has changed and now that I’m coming back to it I find I cannot longer look away.

It’s something I think about a lot too, especially with everything happening in the world and the scary developments that are going on. I recognize what you write about doing what you can in your day to day and not stressing too much about it. I do what I can and try to leave things in a better place whenever I get the opportunity.

It’s helpful for me too to remember that this is the game we chose to play, even though at a human level it’s hard to understand the why sometimes.

I guess sometimes I feel, or have felt in the past, guilty for not being more activistic or fighting for what’s right/speaking up and that I am withholding myself from confrontations and using my spiritual journey as an excuse. So I try to be aware of that. I feel like growing spiritually also helps to better understand and be aware of what’s happening and helps me feel better equipped to handle what’s going on in the world. But it is hard to know what to do exactly. I try to spread love and compassion through my art and speak up about what matters to me through that as well. It has been very helpful for me to realize that you can take up space and speak out in different ways and that it’s also important to find ones that work for you.

I feel like spirituality is the way to help us grow and unite against this eventually. So I’m not sure how to handle all this, but I stick with it and keep focusing on my spiritual journey :folded_hands:t2:

Yeah, I know that guilt that you speak of. It’s an annoying feeling at times. I’m only one person and there’s only so much I can do. Just, sometimes I feel like I can do more. Most people seem to have grown far too passive these days. So it feels like not enough people speaking out and fighting like there should be. I just… understand why not. It’s all rather draining.

Exactly. We’re all each just small piece of the pie. Best we can do is be the light around us. But of course, be a light to ourselves. Our individual journeys still matter most in our personal lives.

I just think about that unity thing a lot sometimes. I don’t know how we get people to unite and grow spiritually these days. Everyone feels so disconnected and stuck on one echo chamber or another. So it confuses me really but I do my best not to stress it cause like you said, it’s a game and we’re here to play along anyways. It’s just a blip in the face of eternity. All will be well in the end haha

Yeah right. It’s so understandable and frustrating at the same time! But we do what we can and focus on our journey. I cannot really know what others are supposed to learn and go through here anyway.

And yes, it does give me peace of mind to know at the end we will all experience unity again. So I just focus on that sometimes lol
