Say only the British, and those colonized by the British! It is a myth that British English is superior or “correct”. That is a story of pop fiction. Most linguists disagree with this colloquial assessment.

True. All language differences are due to parallel evolution. There is strictly speaking, no correct way to speak any language. English itself is partly a result of Vikings speaking ‘wrong’ english (the ‘correct’ version being the one that the Anglo Saxons spoke).

I am from Britain. It took me decades to “unlearn” this myth and becomes less smug lol

Woah never knew that you were British! Whereabouts?

Grew up in London, but I have lived in the US for so long that it is safe to say I am a Yank lol I cant even drive in UK no more.

Nice. Your hybrid accent would be interesting to hear haha. And yes, driving in the UK. Roundabouts are a pain. And I say this as someone who has never driven in any other country.

I will say, that the smug bigotry that Brits have against Americans is just rage inducing. Most of them have never even step foot in the country and they judge all Americans as stupid people. I’m thankful to have half my family live in the States and to have been to 8 different states.

I see you’ve at least retained the London double negative ;)
