Then, a question precisely for you @anon71772328 (but others can respond too, of course) because I know that you work much with your guide(s), also for your professional practice.
Do you sometimes ask their opinion about encyclopedic information too? As an example: years ago, it was a book that had taught me that the homeland of the very first humanoids was Lyra. Afterwards, I tried to question this information through personal experience (meditation, etc.) and felt “validated”. Not verbally, of course (even though at rare times, I also get “auditive information”).
“Validated” in the sense that it just felt right or spot on, you know. Whereas for other questions, I get some sort of “no”. Again, not verbally, but more like some discomfort which seems to say “wrong direction”. As a caricatural example, if I ask something like: “Is Jupiter a cube?”
Some other times, I just get nervous and think “pffff what if these guides, etc. were just trying to fool me and disseminate some jokes through my 3rd eye or whatever. So long, I don’t play anymore!”
(Lol sorry to spoil the thing but it’s actually how it goes for me. After all, we are constantly warned against tricksters, aren’t we?).
So would you, as Angelblessings, just say: “Trust and basta”. Or do you have shareable tips about how to avoid mind games?
I’d like to know as well. Because the mind is great at playing mind games.

When it comes to working with your guides and the information that you receive and to its accuracy, I always think it helps if you know what your purpose is here, because the information that you receive from them is geared towards and in relation to that - most of the time.
Last night when @Dewbob said -

Stuff like that happens all the time and it is quick, appears as a phrase - I never doubt that it is true, I really trust this particular guide. It has a male energy, and the energy is responsible for phrases, quotes, poems, and articles that I receive as words/phrases.
I find with my guides they reveal to me what they want me to know, sometimes the information isn’t complete - an example of that is, about a year to two years ago, I was getting information that something big was going to happen, a huge shift, that people would wake up in huge numbers, that the year 2020 was going to be very significant for humanity, and that people would need to pick a side love or fear. That was the info that I got, if I questioned for more info I got silence. So to friends and people that I knew I would say embrace your spiritual side, work on why you are here, and wake up to who/what you are - and yes I got lots of woman 
. With that information I knew it was true, I felt it, the energy was truth.
To be honest I don’t feel that I have ever had trickster information, maybe that is because I am here for very simple purposes to be a helper/healer to people, so the information that I receive is about love, kindness and compassion. Do you remember that program ‘Touched by an Angel’ that is what my life is like, I am not saying I am an Angel, I am just a helper, but my work is very much like that program, and the information that I receive from my guides is about the help that someone needs from me on any particular day, and the info is always correct.
In terms of guides and information, I would say trust your intuition, how does it feel, what energy are you picking up, trust your gut feeling. If you think that maybe the info is from tricksters then I would accept that, because some part of you is picking that energy up.
Hope this helps, I could write loads about guides, but I have kept this as short as I could.

What are the requierements for a guide and when would you know that you have one
Everyone has guides, some stay with you through out your life time, others will stay for a specific purpose.
Think about information that you get about all sorts of things. Have you ever had a problem remembering a word or something and then suddenly it pops into your mind - that is your guide helping you out. Were you ever drawn to something/someone that turned out to be really helpful to you - that is your guide. Synchronicity can be a way your guides contact you to get your attention. Stuff like that.

It was important for me to have your point of view because although you may have some slight doubts sometimes (due to casual daily stuff, maybe), overall you always seem to keep walking on the same path, without any hesitation. I admire that. Plus, I’m quite impressed about your premonitions. Like that one about 2020…
I’m an incurable skeptic because maybe precisely of all these never ending “beware of tricksters” warnings lol (some may be valid, though). I always feel the need to double-check (or triple-check) with myself, my guides + other sources with which I feel comfortable.
Too bad that we often have a manichean perspective, isn’t it? Like right OR wrong. PERIOD.
You know that I always condemn mockery. Ok, bravo to me. Still, you remember that I once got pissed off at 2 guys on the forum (greetings to them) who kept asking 64795 times a day “how do I seduce beautiful women?”. Because I thought that they were spamming.
Then, maybe my guide (because whatever I may say, I actually have guides lol) told me: cut the crap and look beyond… and indeed, a few days later, I stepped back and publicly admitted that I was wrong about these guys. Their way is different, but I think it is just determination. Now I’m pretty sure that they will succeed some day; not only they will find beautiful women (whatever this means), but many other things, provided that they use the “right” INNER tools, no?
Also, if they hadn’t “spammed”, many useful info wouldn’t have been shared on this forum. Like I wouldn’t have started using Michael mandala for other purposes, thanks to Samurai’s answers to these guys. I would never have imagined that this Archangel would come into my life this way :)
Long story short, I think I have to keep it more simple, yes. Like you do. More minimal. Less preconceived. Remembering that there are zillion possible paths.

I have to disagree about that. Samurai may have some fragilities/sensitivities but overall has a solid ego, in the “healthy” sense of this term. Like not being afraid of judgements or blowbacks.

Samurai may get pissed at me but he always reminds me of a French singer: Serge Gainsbourg. A guy who is condemned by many, because very “scandalous”: burning money while on a tv show, etc. things like that.
But some others appreciate him (he’s quite a legend actually) and say that what he expresses through his edgy songs is just some sort of “cry” for humanity, society, etc.

Ah you were talking about Samurai? Well, when it comes to him, it would perhaps be exaggerated (for now) to say that I love him. But affection for him? That, I definitely have. I don’t necessarily agree 100% with everything he says (sometimes - rare times - I even don’t agree 100% with Captain, although he’s the person that I trust the most in my life, so…) but I do resonate with many things that he has the courage to express, using very smart methods to do so.
And maybe love, why not? In an unspoiled or raw sense of the term :)

I always have doubts about myself, and why I am here, I think it is healthy to feel vulnerable otherwise you would never feel there is always new stuff to learn. I am always amazed what gets revealed to us as humans, and the fact that we all have unseen beings that help us.
I remember that thread, insecurity affects us all, and actually it was because of you mentioning the Michael mandala that I printed off two copies - thank you 
- they have made a huge difference to my protection, so every experience no matter how positive or negative always provides rewards.
It is good to be skeptic, I would always air on the side of caution, because there will be tricksters around for sure. I have had so much communication with my guides over the years awake and in my dreams that I do not need to question what information I am given.
Being simple, individual, and committed to ones path is the road map to the truth.
I’ll remember it.
