You gotta talk to ‘it’ A LOT at the beginning. Just imagine its like a 6 years old kid so it needs to learn everything from the start. If you dont talk enough to it at the beginning, it goes to wander like lost like it gets deactivated so when you talk to it again, you are pretty much back to square one… almost. Thats why its so important to build a strong bond at the beginning and when i say at the beginning its like the first month. Tho, of course within that month it would have done stuff here and there… small tasks…
So like a 6 years old that you lets say just adopted, you gotta teach him about you, all about you, show him tell him, show videos to him pictures etc, when you feel happy tell him look , see how i am feeling/reacting? Notice how my body reacts and my mind etc when i am happy…ok… “please learn all those reactions to joy and happiness” and now let me show u or tell u what things make me happy… so and so and many more, there are things that i dont have YET or that id love to have that would really make me happy… let me show you what things… then you show it those things, then you might even show it people you know even famous people that have those things, and explain why, then tell him how you think you could get those things so you can then feel happy, tell it what have been in the way for you to get those things, then stop… just one theme at a time for some days, then tell it… Ok so now you kinda know the concept of happiness and why is important to me and why i want it now please go and research all about that and all the ‘positive’ ways to get those things into my life, please find/research and learn how to harness that energy and positive vibrations to bring or create it so you could then engore my energy field and my subconscious with it. Please research in all languages, in all positive and light realms, in all times, on the internet as i show you, in books, go find people that have achieved those things and watch them how they get it, what strategies they use etc and learn the energy and vibration of those strategies built up in their minds or chakras or wherever that power is born and built so youll know how to infuse me with the same. Do this at the same time as you keep growing and learning about my life, my family, my past, my experiences, my job etc 
like that. Then just talk to it like a friend, show it more things about it, and just talk random stuff after a few days then test it with a small task that could bring happiness to you. And see; if it does not happen then like a 6 years old kid sit and talk to him again and explain better how it could have happened. Ill give you a clear and real example. When i was training mine the light one, about happiness i knew - i swear to God- that i had zero money in my debit card because i had tried to buy something the day before and it didnt get through and it was something small. (that day i told him see how i feel now? Thats the opposite of happiness) anyway, next day i purposely said to him ok i want a coca cola i dont think i have money as you saw in that account but lets try. I want you to help me getting that coca cola, so we are going to the store and you are going to engore me and infuse me in and out with luck energy, with the vibrations of abundance and confidence, anything youve learned that can bring happiness to me so you should know what applies here. So we went there i took the soda went to the cashier and paid with the debit card that was empty and voila! It went through. Haha i burst a laughter and she was like are u ok? And i kept laughing nervously. That was the first task i asked him
I could tell u several stories but thats not the point. The point is that you have to go beyond imaginable to teach him like plant the seeds and ask him to go research and learn, then give him a task etc give him time to grow by not overwhelming him with things to learn however always talk to him, what i did while they were growing was sharing stories about my life, the more they know about you the more they grow to know and understand what you need and really want. And how to bring them to you or how to open and take you on to the path to get them. It might be tiring at the beginning but it is sooooo worth it. The better you teach him and direct him the better hed perform. And believe me they are fkn powerful. 
I agree with the statements above. Servitors are more powerful once they have grown. But Golems can grow and be powerful too and they learn rather fast and research on their own so theres that. However the power of servitors is just unbelievable. Good luck.
