Hi, i find a lot of sapien audios to be too loud to loop on the phone while watching youtube videos or listening to something else. Does anybody know if lowering the volume of the audios in audacity and then exporting them as mp3 or wav would lead to quality loss?

MP3 export would lead to significant quality loss
WAV or FLAC IS Better but I don’t hink any re-encode is 100%
Just use equalizer / mixer if on PC. Sound Assistant for Samsung phones and Poweramp in general on Android. Lowering volume even to practically inaudible one doesn’t distort field Official Sapienmed FAQ (Updated)
But if I lower volume, some parts of the fields get a very mechanic tone. Is this still okay?
There’s mp3DirectCut that can modify an mp3 without re-encoding, i.e. it allows for lossless editing. It can change the volume level among other things.
And then there’s MP3Gain, which can normalize volume levels across multiple mp3s, also lossless.

I guess so, it’s just lowering the volume after all.
