Is your question about sapien fields? Anything can be a tattoo, but there would be no field effect as far as I know.
As far as I recall reading forum it can work, even finely in terms of providing expected effect, and depending on what will you put on your body it can be a not so good idea as it will be hard to erase and might make you overburdened mentally and tired for quite a bit of time until you adapt. Note that tattoos were discussed in general on forum that something carrying embedded ideas associated with what people expect tattoo to mean and just tattooing any image on your body can provide some very subtle but specific energetic effect.
