Maybe all the spiritual teachers are right

That all answers are within.

And we’re looking at the wrong place.

Thoughts?

From one extreme to another.
It’s either critic of pure reason or meditation in a cave.

You need balance. Introspection and inspection.
I’m sure you could make sophisticated device and do/learn the spiritual stuff and measure other people’s consciousness from the outside.

I’m sure you could meditate your way to the theory of quantum physics.

But realistically, you’ll need both ways. That’s why we have eyes.

It’s the same thing

And you already know all your answers. You don’t have to search. Just embrace what you are within and it will all fall into place.

If you are meditating, and you are consciously trying to meditate, are you then really in a state of meditation?

No, but nevertheless the starting point is an egoic mind.
From which point of view meditation requires effort, practice ecc… that gradually will be let go of and meditation appears as the “natural state”

Look at neo-advaita for example, mostly still lost in egoic mind telling themself “there is nothing to do”, “everything is perfect”… problem is egoic mind cant really grasp these statements

But that’s a simple discernment between ‘are you lying to yourself’ and ‘are you being truthful?’.

Every path leads to meditation, and meditation also leads to every path, if willing…

Yeah I agree.
Not so simple though, spiritual ego is a serious issue

Just don’t have it apply to you and you’ll be fine :)

Anyway, I think you get what I mean

All answers are wrong. It’s a continuous “question” that dissolves all answers. Inside, outside, everything, nothing, beyond, within - all are just things you release. The moment we identify with anything, landing on an answer, it’s already lost.

Okay after reading all the answers, I’m confused more than ever. Lol

So to sum it up, go with the flow?

imo, this is another attempt to make it “known”, to “land”. It feels comfortable having an answer and to solidify it… but there’s no need to do that, just remain in awe, wide-eyed wonder, beginner’s mind. Then release whatever you land on or “get stuck in”.

Only someone who transcended duality would get the proper concept of it and answer it properly…
