To be fair, there are some things I watched on TV I would call work of art, but those are like 5% to 10% of everything I have watched.
I think video games were slightly better than watching tv years ago, when every quest didn’t have pointer and 500 hints towards solution, but now most of them are also mindless garbage.
When things become popular they tend to become worse because producers aim at lowest common denominator
