mono audio combines left and right audio channels into one audio channels while stereo, which is the default setting, drives different audio signals through left and right speakers. You can try for yourself on windows: settings > sound settings > Ease of Access audio settings. you will see the option “Turn on mono audio”. Does this matter when listening with headphones (or speakers)?

Assuming you are referring to listening morphic fields, it doesn’t matter.

I figured so a little after I created this topic. it’s just the music (if there is) that changes when you turn on mono audio. The sound field is already the same on R and L outputs/speakers.
