~Times are hard when things have got no meaning
I’ve found a key upon the floor
Maybe you and I will not believe in
The things we find behind the door
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows
Yeah, God only knows, the way it’s gonna be~

(moving the convo here for on-topic purposes :)

Hey, lucky you! And right after that album?? One of their most accomplished ones in my opinion.

Sadly, Bonham passed away and the band split shortly after I was born… but I could catch one of their ā€œreunionā€ concerts in 1998 in Paris. Still keep the ticket as a bookmarker :))

Yes, sorry for getting off topic! It’s just that I see your posts all over this forum with your Bronyraur handle! Too cool!

I was very lucky to have seen Led Zepplin at the Forum in Los Angeles several times, but yes, we saw them in 1975 right after they released Physical Grafitti! Bonzo killed Trampled Under Foot! Kashmir was absolutely Epic! My boyfriend in high school worked at the Forum in L.A. on weekends. He got us in for free to whatever concerts we wanted to see. Pretty much everybody played the Forum if they were on any kind of North American Tour!

Pat Metheny used to come to our high school and play for us in our gym! He lived around the corner and wanted our opinion of his music! Of course this was waaaaaaaaay before anybody knew of him! People still don’t believe me when I tell them that story!

Ok it’s been like 15 minutes since I’m trying to decide with which song I should reply to your epic-memories post :)) So I’ll go for a cover for a change:

OMG! Is that Robert Plant singing out of his vocal range?!! LMAOffffff!!!
I’ll find you one after I am done listening to my Fields!

If I could teleport you back to 1975 with me, I would take you to the Best Concert of your Zepplin Lovin’ Life!!! In addition to most of Physical Grafitti, Plant parked his flat butt on the edge of the stage and played the mandolin and sang ā€œGoing to Californiaā€ all by his lonesome! Amazing!!!

It is :))

Such a nice thought :) At least we have the videos!

I can imagine… That mermaidish bad boy lol

Take your time :) Until then, one of the footages that I like:

Spent my days with a woman unkind
Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine
Made up my mind, make a new start
Goin’ to California with an achin’ in my heart
Someone told me there’s a girl out there
With love in her eyes and flowers in her hair

(…)

Find a queen without a king
They say she plays guitar and cries and sings, la-la-la-la
Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn
Tryin’ to find a woman who’s never, never, never been born

Timeless complaints :)))

Please let’s not forget Clare Torry, who walked into the studio on a Sunday afternoon looking like the English Girl Next Door, and belted out this vocal solo for Pink Floyd for the Dark Side of the Moon album! They didn’t appreciate her first time singing it, so she sang it here the second time. They told her to sing it again and she told them to Bugger Off, and walked out! We wore this album out!!!

We certainly won’t. One of my favorite performances by a female vocal artist. Thanks for bringing her back here :)

Are there any others here who appreciate ā€œClassicā€ Rock? This term is so funny to me!
Has it really been that long, ago? Feels like yesterday, as well as a lifetime ago.
Such a Great Time to be young!

If you type in the name of a song in the forum’s search bar you’ll see if it’s been posted in the thread already.
