Sleep is just your ego signing off so your higher self can work on putting the pieces together in a way to accomodate to growth…

You don’t even need to sleep at all!

Well it’s also so the vital/energy body can repair and rejuvenate the physical body.

Low medium and high key I think Dreamweaver is actually the real life Dr. Strange.

It makes sense, doesn’t it? And we’re all interwoven in his dream… of the healing wizard.

Man’s Morpheus helping us all get out of the pods.

With enough ‘enlightenment’ you can do that purely by will, or lack thereof. I’ve been there occasionally… But I can’t grasp it fully yet.

This is exactly what I was trying to say as you alluded to SRF not teaching more Kriyas, not teaching Talavya Kriya or Nabhi Kriya, etc. These are just your perspective, probably colored by conditioning based on your teacher’s instruction. That is not really the universal truth, right? While you dismiss the “actual” form of Khechari as “some ancient text”, the very fact that you have not achieved Khecharatva (ability to persist on-air element alone) is evidence enough that the “modified” version is not as effective as the original one. Pranavananda, a direct disciple of Lahiri Mahasaya, whose grand-nephew is one of my 9 teachers, emphasized repeatedly that without “true” Khechari, Kriyavans would not attain purnatva. Several Kriya schools tracing to Lahiri Baba emphatically state the need for full Khechari and dismiss the baby version as useless, and borrowed from Daoist practices, so there’s that too!

Again, the original set of three practices that accompany Khechari are not taught in Kriya schools at all, which is considered useless in Tantric schools. Now, that is one perspective and if that was to be accepted, your practice is not going to lead you to completion at all! The point I am trying to make is - various schools claim authenticity, but who decides which of these sets of techniques is superior, inferior, complete, incomplete, or simple? These are all subjective assertions. Kriya was not a documented or accepted classic Yoga lineage till Lahiri Mahasaya and his tale of Babaji while various other Yogic schools have “time tested” and “recorded” history. That does not mean these are ineffective, but these are just one of the many tools available, and IME, pretty hyped up especially when stripped out of their original Tantra context. There are techniques of Kundalini Yoga, Deity Practices or TrulKhor which can speed up evolution a thousand times faster than Kriya Pranayama, each has its place and suitability based on the individual.

Again, I am trying to separate the myth from the historical evolution of Kriya as a compiled set of techniques because it is very easy these days to attribute everything to Babaji or some other mystical figure, while not understanding the context in which these practices were created and later, appropriated.

That’s what I’m talking about! Imagine going the full loop!

I’d probably miss sleep though, in a nostalgic manner. Me thinks that’s when you just roam the astral for a good 8 hours, play with your sense of time a bit, and just come back* again.

Hey… maybe we’re already doing that.

When you dive into comparative religions, and use your consciousness, they ALL have the same goal. That’s why Gnostics study all religions. Death of the ego, birth of the consciousness, sacrifice for others.

You can take any scripture from any religion and find it’s correlation to another relgion’s scripture. Just explained differently based on the time and needs of that humanity

Astral travel is so necessary for spiritual growth! I finally got off Suboxone, soon as I’m out of withdrawal, I have no more blocks from astral traveling anymore. It’s been holding me back.

I somewhat agree, but I also resist consciously from oversimplifying stuff. I like simplicity, not over-simplification of the sort - “All roads lead to the same path”, “all these techniques lead to the same”, “All religious texts essentially state the same” - nah, there are similarities and there are not.

I see where you come from though considering Gnosticism is a syncretism of various existing schools with a few original ideas thrown here and there, but I tend to be a little more puristic, even though my background is in Tantra, rDzogchen and to an extent, ceremonial magic.

Beautiful.

Crazy how the fields are so damn powerful. I put on a hair thingy a week ago for giggles and a week later my hair is still getting better and thicker. Wild ride for sure, and a good one.

Now looping this field for 24 eternities :sunglasses:
