Petition to stop NFT's and create a better format

BINGO

that’s it:

It’s not the protection itself but the assumptions of people about the protection and about the NFT’s !!!

nooooooooooooooo captain disagreeeeeees daaaaaaaamnnnnnn
I was happy for the fireworks :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
captain if you disagree then you are disagreeing with sammy’s latest post as well…

the point is: both NFT’s and non NFT’s are equally protected but the assumption of people about the protections and about how NFT’s work, makes them perceive NFT’s to be more protected than the non NFT’s and so it’s not the resellers who will not try to sell but the buyers simply will not buy from them because of their assumptions about the NFT’s.

It’s not a problem, on the contrary, it’s an argument in favor of the NFT format
I’m happy for you that it has diminished the stealing of your work

@CreateYourLife
just curious. are you planning on going into politics?

Nice intuition! I am considering it. But it won’t make me happy.

after reading the whole thread, my thought was this had nothing to do with the NFTs, you just noticed it’s a hot topic and just decided to make a rant.
training your argumentation and debate skills. calling people names.
you could have just started a community project : The Politician
gather some ideas, others interested folks, skills enhancements, and whatever ideas you’ve hade, put them in the format required, and submit it to Captain
50 copies or whatever you find fair

I mean, why don’t you just try? Download pictures, meditate with him, try to think they are yours even tho they are not and then tell us about the “results”. Better u try than to endlessly nagging others, including staff, here.

I really don’t understand why this conversation has gone on for nearly 200 replies. The NFTs are part of an authorized collection of Sapien Medicine on Venly and on Phantom. If a buyer hasn’t bothered to check to verify that then Caveat Emptor. You can’t just copy and paste a mandala and have it show up as authorized part of the collection. You’re an extremely abrasive person. And you’re not going to change this. The best you might do is getting everyone to hate you and getting Captain upset enough to stop doing fields period and shutting things down.

You seem new here and also new to NFTs. There is a history and development with NFTs including how these were coming to be here and why they are a great solution, and how they work. Many people who commented here have been there along that ride since the beginning, so we no longer have the same questions. But I see how someone who is new and doesn’t have that same background knowledge, and who may be trying to understand how it works in order to find out if there are alternatives, ask some of these questions.

Hopefully you are now seeing better why NFTs are generally a great if not the best solution for everyone, except for those who want to steal the Captain’s work, but that’s the point: they nicely protect everyone else from getting screwed over. They even give us the option to get our money “back” for any fields that we find out weren’t what we needed or no longer use, which I think is so neat (and budget-friendly).

I think you are seeing all that now too. Just know that NFTs are a great solution, and even if they weren’t, in the end, we’d accept what the creator chooses to go with, which makes only sense. And he’ll always go with what works and is best, also for us.

Maybe a visualization will help you to understand?

People just as easily find themselves not even able to sell it at prices lower than original sticker price. I find myself in such a position. It’s supply and demand.

This is quite a possibility and hear from some already. It would be a nightmare for all those who are hoarding NFTs hoping to sell at attractive prices.

@CreateYourLife I spent time to go through rest of the thread after I commented before, not many useful things except the point on pyramind scheme which will not happen, just too much of work is involved.

I tell you now that you would not need all the NFTs nor every brand new exotic NFT, you seem to be more concerned about others making profit and you don’t want them to. People may not accept it but as Sammy mentioned many are in it for just the money which is ok, brutally honest people are safe.

It is not up to you or me or anyone else how much others can make or profit off of NFTs. If you got ripped off after someone sold you something which is not as promised you can take it up directly with the seller and Sammy.

People are not ignorant that they would shell out 1000s of $s to buy something which will not help them to get what they want, unless they are super rich and just like to fool around. If there is only one great testimonial about a NFT and one person still bought that NFT for 10K or 20K then it is on the buyer not on the design, nor the creator nor others who were involved in the project.

If you think one NFT is hyped and doesn’t deserve the quoted price then you would not spend huge amount on it anyway, but you can never stop from someone from buying at that price.

Honestly it’s a fine system dare i say a good one, you can post a dot point list of your concerns and we can calmly discuss them. (It’s too scattered and fragmented to understand at the moment)

I’ve been on both sides but if you inspect it unbiasly as i did my own frustration you’d see at the end of the day. Its mostly a frustration born from a sense of entitlement. It exists and i want it therefore i have a right to have it.

I think you’d probably find like all new or emerging markets. It’s the wildwest at first with crazy money flying around and up for grabs but slowly becomes more regulated, more supplied and more competitive.

I think we have crossed that point and most of the anger is directed towards how it was a year or more ago which i don’t believe represents the market in it’s current state. we have desirable things been sold at 30% profit instead of 300% (Of course a couple of exceptions)

So here is a pro of nft’s.
Lets say you collect a sizeable library of premium audio’s all in all over a year or two you spent 5k. as they were released you listened and apreciated everyone but rotate them out and lose interest. A year later you only regularly use 10-20% of them. thats 4k of stuff your not using and is financially unrecoverable.

With nft’s you put that 4k of stuff on the resale market and hopefully you can make back your investment.

Although as i pointed out, your outside looking in assumption that everyone is making insane profit and selling any and everything for crazy mark ups looks incorrect at this point. (Put some stuff up for sale and gain some experience otherwise it’s just speculation)
