The group NFTs is really is the only you can get custom fields made these days. Dream isn’t going to individually made custom fields for each person anymore (we used to years ago for a price of course).
But if there’s a field that could be made that a number of people want, then dream is likely willing to make it. I know the argument is that there shouldn’t be limited copies because that ends up creating a market for it, which ends up inviting greed.
NFT scarcity was by design from the very beginning. Dream’s idea was that some things in life are rare and in short supply. Some of these worked on fields can be things that the creators (groups and dream) actually own for themselves. And if they choose to sell it or trade it, they can. They have that choice. If there are 5,000 copies, then it’s like owning just another bag of Lays potato chips. If there are only 20 copies of Lays Gold Leviathan Special Edition Potato Chips, then you own a unique and limited bag of potato chips.
NFTs were a way to make fields into, actual special digital items you own and can sell or trade. This is digital ownership. You have choices with your digital purchase. Something that was never possible before.
I think honesty is important. And the truth is, that many people in NFT groups are not only in it for the fields but are in it because they get to buy an extra copy they could sell or trade. So, they get to buy the field but then sell to make their money back and make even more $ in many cases. Win, win situation.
So of course, there are people who get very excited about the monetary aspect. Some, I’m sure are more in it for the money than anything else. I mean for example, some groups get angry if there are any of the details in another project or its too similiar. That’s because they want their project to be the only one of its kind… making it easier to sell to people. (Of course people tend to think ideas get stolen which I can understand that upsetting people. But in most of the cases I looked into, that ended up not being true)
I’m aware of all these things and more. At the end of the day, who am I to judge? If they aren’t purposely scamming people or ripping them off, then it’s all fair. As someone else mentioned, those higher prices rarely if ever got sold and end up getting lowered more reasonably.
This is all a matter of choice. If people want to make money or spend money, they can. We can’t quite police a market that already exists. Many NFTs are already in circulation.
And I have always said time and time again, you don’t need to buy any of our gumroad, teespring, ES or NFT fields. You can get all the healing and growth you need from our free fields.
Now, I think there can be a much more finely tuned balance to this by having more public projects like point of no return be made. But perhaps some free projects as well. It’s easy to feel left out when it seems that 90% of the forum is about the NFTs these days. And 90% of the posts happen in the private chats.
Not everyone has the kind of time some of you have to get involved in these projects. So of course people end up feeling left out. Of course, it creates a strange dynamic to people looking in.
Of course it spawns many questions and concerns.
But I hope I was able to answer some your questions and concerns. If you have more, do let me know.
