According to Greek mythology, prophecies are not simply fortune tellings that may or may not come true, but rather an almost absolute inevitability (albeit they may be fulfilled in unexpected ways)
According to an ancient prophecy by Gaia/Gaea, Métis, Zeus’s former wife, would give birth to not only Athena but also a second child- a son that would be more powerful than and overthrow Zeus just like how Zeus overthrew Kronos. In fear and paranoia, Zeus tricked Métis to turn into a fly and swallowed her- leading to Athena being born from his head.
Let this be the fulfilment of that prophecy from ages past, powered and materialised by the will of Mother Earth and Necessity herself.
