Unless is somehow offensive to the community.
But more likely it was merged with an existing thread regarding the same topic then your was closed. They do that to keep all info in one place as much as possible and not all over the forum.
Still it always shows at the bottom of your post an arrow saying it was merged with so and so other bigger thread about the same.
