In my country they translate billionaire as thousand-millionaire (in movies and shows). I don’t know if they think people knowing there are billionaires is dangerous or it hurts their heart or they think US dollars are so worthless xD

Maybe just because historically it could be both a billion and a trillion Billion - Wikipedia and translators use some old school guidelines.
