This is off-topic for this thread but

If you’re talking about Gumroad here, Gumroad doesn’t have “baskets.” You buy each item individually.

That’s why their button doesn’t read “Add to cart/basket.” It reads (in my language) “I want this”, which takes you to a checkout page, which often has payment information autofilled in.

Whenever you see your payment information in any page of a website, you want to be paying careful attention. All your safeties are off at that point. So, it’s up to you to protect yourself. (This is true for all of the Internet, sad to say.)

You can delete your payment information from the field on the checkout page. It’ll probably show up again the next time you visit that checkout page again. If you don’t want that to happen, there’s a way around that but first, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED ALL YOUR GUMROAD FIELDS AND HAVE A SURE-FIRE WAY TO GET BACK INTO YOUR GUMROAD ACCOUNT IN THE FUTURE.

When you’ve done that (and made really sure that you have successfully done that), you can go into your browser’s cookies and delete all cookies that mention Gumroad. Gumroad recognizes that this is you (and fills in your payment information) based on those cookies.

While you’re at it, check your browser’s setting and make sure that auto-fill is turned off for Gumroad (at the very least).

Then you will be better shielded against that abuse.
