Thank you so, so much :) I really appreciate it!
You say that it might take a few to 144 breaths to reach the desired energy effect. Do we have to count breaths? Does the number actually matter?
No, you don’t have to count breaths. In fact, it’s better if you just focus on how you’re breathing (so that you’re breathing in the special way that’s described in the instructions) and on the sensations in your physical and energetic bodies.
Nope, not at all. That broad range of “numbers” was to indicate that, depending on the individual, the process of moving on to the next step could be as short as “a few breaths” or could take as long as “144 breaths.”
This is why I suggested focusing on your breathing and your experience as you’re breathing (rather than on counting), so that you can learn when it’s right for you to move on with the exercise.
(FYI, that particular poster is no longer a member on this forum. So, you may not want to wait for a personal reply from them before you begin your practice.)
Thanks WellBeing
Can I do this exercise if i’m taking the energy awakening course for the first time?
It can get unclear what changes you’re having are from the course and which are from this meditation, and that would be valuable information for you.
hmm makes sense
thanks wellbeing
I was thinking about combining this exercise with the 5 Tibetan Rites (might add the 6th since I’m practicing semen retention right now). I think they would complement eachother very well with a powerful synergistic effect. Because of the energizing effect I’m planning to do this combo exclusively in the morning and add additional round of only the star exercise later in the day if I feel like it.
I’m contemplating about the sequence though. Initially I would think to start with the Rites to wake up the body, get all systems running and get the chakras spinning correctly. This to prepare the energy systems to receive the energy from the star exercise and to make it flow more smoothly.
Thoughts?
I would start with the star simply because it involves breathwork. Like charging yourself full of energy first. The energy can likely still be felt during the rites afterwards
Thanks for your input!
You make a good point. Starting with the star exercise to fill yourself with energy which then can be used for the Tibetan rites to make them more effective. The rites are sort of yogic exercises and they say that the yoga poses originated from pranayama/breathwork, so from that perspective it makes sense to start with the breathwork haha.
Do you have any experience with combining these two practices?
Unfortunately i do not. But i tend to start my day with Wim Hof breathing which is great imo
Wim hof breathing is awesome. That enabled me to release a lot of stuck emotions in very trying times where I couldn’t achieve that with energy fields. Unfortunately I had to stop because of compensatory breathing patterns. When breathing as deeply as possible I subconsciously used a lot of the accessory breathing muscles in my neck which caused them to strain. After each wim hof session i had sore and tight neck muscles. I believe it was due a posture issue which I’ve almost sorted out. Hopefully I can get back to it soon.
Can you imagine doing the star exercise, the Tibetan rites and the wim hof breathing each day? That would be the holy trifecta of energy work haha
Wow. I tried this exercise this morning for the first time, but in a “tread the waters” kind of way, with just a few breaths. Nonetheless, my left arm was left so shaky and weak afterwards! Also felt mildly lightheaded, as if I had postural hypotension. Definitely doing this every morning now. Overtime, will this turn into more of an energising ritual?
Congratulations!
“As if,” yes. But it could have been something as benign as just getting a different amount of oxygen into your system from your brief, different way of breathing.
Cool. And it’s great that you’re taking this in baby steps. (And I don’t use that term in any negative way.)
When you become more comfortable with your practice, you can work up to the 2x/day that the OP recommended.
Yes.
I just started with this today. Thank you so much for the introduction!
The effects were amazing very quickly. The first time I did just ~10 breaths and only one hold and I almost passed out. I got the lightheadedness I get after 3 full series of Wim Hoff. (Does this say anything in particular about me? Is it a sign of high energetic sensitivity? Or of a high amount of energy already existing in me? Whatever it is, I like it)
A couple of hours later I tried again, this time in a pool (I know, I was supervised), and the effect was again amazing in just one run. When I opened my eyes everything around me was so vibrantly colored. It was beautiful.
I don’t think I can ever go without this from now on.
Thats fantastic! I also had a similar experience; when I did this again today I had to physically lie down in fear of passing out, after just a few breaths. What a powerful exercise.
This is amazing!!!
same
I get a metallic taste at back of throat like others have said, i check online and lets just say it didnt ease my worry,
what detox is the metallic from?
After 39 days of double exercise, I need to stop. And I need help. I think that I overloaded my system and my heart is starting to have problems (any field did not helped, including heart’s, energy blockage system and mana circuits) and I’m unable to study and sleep, because I stored too much energy in my body and I don’t know how to release. My heart pumps too quickly without any rest 24/7 and I costantly feel energy in my arms and in my hands at any breath I do. I premise that i use only fields and not subliminals or other stuff and my health before this was perfect and I wanna return to my natural state. I’m pausing almost all fields, but the situation is the same.
If anyone asks, I respected always the instructions of the first 2 posts of OM and many times I did over than 15-20 minutes and the maximum of breaths was 80, ten days ago, when I feel electricity for all of my torso.
Help me, please.
Have u tried grounding in real life, maybe ur systems rejecting fields and so that ur not getting grounded
