Just realised VLC on computer and android phones can make playlists with both Youtube and local files! I use it now to play playlists mixing Youtube and Patreon/Teespring/Gumroad files. Not sure if it’s useful for anyone else.

Welcome to the VLC club 
. Although YouTube changes the stream link every few hours, sometimes VLC isn’t able to capture the video. If I recall correctly this wasn’t a problem on the older version on Android not sure about iPhone or computer.

It uses so much more battery though than the standard music app on the phone… I use it because the standard app doesn’t let me add the same song twice to the playlist while VLC does.
And on the computer you can have VLC playing while also watching something else with sound (I was a bit surprised to notice, just assumed it would pause the audio), I think my other software didn’t allow that.

Do you have android or iphone?

On the computer you can play as many audio as you want, it’s not limited to 1 or two.
That’s a limitation of smartphones.
