Haha no. It’s both about abilities and practice. Zen is the one putting in the practice, he has become really good in 2 months.
If you’re actual is around 1450 you would beat me at the moment, but give me 2-3 weeks muhaha (that’s supposed to be an evil laughter)
You need to play a lot (also at tournaments) to have an accurate elo.

When I played tournaments, I think I only played on 1-3 where the results counted. you need much more to be accurate.
I tried to find my score online now but it’s not there anymore, it was still online maybe 5-6 years ago though I stopped way before that. I think it was around 1500-1600 then but I forgot almost everything lol

A year ago, I played some games against the shredder computer online (free), set it to hard mode (highest level) and it’s really a strong program, like playing against an expert/master with high ELO rating. Apple also has a built-in chess program on my old 2010 mac and it’s also a strong opponent, but I think shredder is better.
I’m interested in joining you guys soon and play some games if it’s okay with @Zen.
