yeah, i love both…but i like lichess better for bullet games

ssheeeesh yeah you def better than me.

i need like 40 mins per move.

I also play a lot of chess games at https://chessarena.com/ against the computer at 2100 -2300 ELO rating while listening to my sapien playlist in the mornings daily. I do this to keep my thinking and problem analysis active regularly. I use the regular rapid format.

lol maybe i shouldnt play bullet games though because they say it hinders you from learning and advancing but its so fun lol

youre an expert then…im not sure how good i am against a computer…is that chessarena engine better than the lichess and chess.com engine?

I have played the computer in chess.com and I think chess arena engine is better. I’m not an expert, btw, I just played a lot of games against different players in the past, winning some money before. So, depending on your playing strength, just adjust the ELO rating of the engine at chess arena (the official FIDE online arena) if you decide to play against the engine. It also helps that years ago, I read a number of chess books dealing with openings, middlegame and endgame phases.

Also, in the past, I have played online against the engine of shredderchess.com and set it at ‘hard’ level. It is a very strong opponent.

started playing on chessarena…i see the advantage of the other sites is that it has a computer that can play with speed…

i used to have shredder chess…sold my computer though lol…

you mean you earned money in tournaments playing over the board or a chess site?

Just adjust the settings. There is bullet and blitz options with time controls which you can click on the site. I’m used to playing the rapid 25-minute games and I don’t play bullet and blitz.

If one is interested, he/she can also upgrade their account in the site and open a world chess pro account for a monthly fee and get a FIDE id. You can also participate in online tournaments playing against different players, some are strong and even have FIDE master titles.

I played informal games at the village I lived in years ago. Some opponents were brought over by friends along with a chess set and later on, I played with skilled friends in a law office in the city area and sometimes, the bets involved the loser spending for drinking beers and having a good time at a nearby restobar and cafe. Some opponents were strong and all games were live and in person. I did earn but not much.

lol good times…

sorry i didnt realize i made a typo…i meant chessarena has an advantage over the other sites…i dont really like the interface though…

i like chess.com for rapid and daily games…

i like lichess for bullet games…

and in chessarena i like that you can do bullet games against computers but theyre pretty weak…i beat a 2600 computer that cant be right lol…maybe the computer is only good for slow games, but at least it moves kinda quick for a good reflex exercise
