From experience I can say that people in general are terrible at seeing changes. Few people are great at it, they feel the energy overtaking their brain, the minute changes. But there is no emotional input or sensory information that says “I’m getting smarter”.
It all comes down to observation.
It’s like losing weight or growing taller. People don’t notice it themselves most of the time until they observe the difference. Other people seem shorter, the higher shelves at the store are accessible, your feet stretch beyond the bottom of your bed. People need to be able to observe the new state while remembering the older state that hopefully they also observed.
Intelligence is not anymore obvious to ourselves than outside observers at first glance.
White matter isn’t building connections, it is coating them. The difference is obvious because it is so fast.
Children learn and become more mature fast, but they don’t feel it necessarily.
It happens that some people who don’t see results themselves appear more mature and logical, clever to other forum members. Reading their old posts makes it obvious, but sometime people have this idea that they were already smart.
You can’t look at your brain in the mirror. If your thoughts change, are you self-aware enough to notice it ?
If you study a subject, for example mathematics. Do you see any improvement ?
All that is just to comment on the “I did not see major changes”. It’s not to refute what you say or shill for the brain fields, this failure to notice change is easy. Even advanced brainiac miss a fair bit of improvements as they creep up on you from the shadows, becoming noticeable only when you use them. The good news is that improvements are not dependent on you noticing them. It’s just a nice confirmation.
If you are not convinced yet about brain fields, my advise would be to try free stuff first.
Superhuman genius + acetylcholine + BDNF. Available on youtube or Patreon. Give them a good loop before manhattan method, see how it goes or just spam them on their own for a few hours.
If the free stuff isn’t convincing enough, there is no point in going premium.
Now if you want to go premium. One obvious constraint to planning your journey on the brain path is money. I will take it as a factor, I’m not implying anything about your financial situation, it’s just practical reality.
You can decide to use free boosters as I mentioned above followed by plasma brain to avoid overgrowth as these side-effect counter-measures aren’t in place in pre-BrainMania boosters. Overgrowth is simply the result of your brain growing faster than it can handle, the boosters since Brain Key cover that by also enhancing post growth adaptation aspects.
Using these free boosters would allow you to focus your purchases on wiring fields, purchasing new skills. Whichever suits your needs most in priority. That would be the long-term min-cost/high-result trajectory.
If you have more income coming up, then you can focus on purchasing boosters to boost manhattan method as much as possible. Then when you have more income purchase more wiring and boosting fields. This is the fast track path. It lets you build the circuitry as fast as possible so you can move to the next wiring field (s).
Finally, as for the White Matter type of fields like Advantageous Brain Plan, Manhattan 8K RES,
You can use them now to improve what you already have and then continuously to improve the new connections and neurons or you can use them afterward.
Anytime is fine. Just using them optimizes what you already have, perhaps giving you a better picture of where you stand. Btw, they do facilitate the wiring long term, but it’s just an added benefits not their main focus like boosters.
Congratulations on taking your first steps though
