Also, I think that a lot of “ADHD” is simply a type of self-sabotage.
And since self-sabotage can have a Thousand different reasons, so is the amount of potential solutions.
Most of these reasons are deep seated subconscious beliefs and assumptions about oneself and the world.

Let’s not forget that the physical brain is a very flexible machine that constantly adjusts to the experienced environment but also to the input from the Subconscious Mind.

1.)

Trauma → Self Sabotage Beliefs in Subconscious mind → Self Sabotage Behavior → Physical Brain rewires itself accordingly → even more Self Sabotage Behavior

This is in most cases as I believe.

And in very RARE cases:

2.)

Physical Brain not functioning properly → Self Sabotage Behavior → Formation of a Belief about one’s Inadequacy → Trauma → 1.)

Also thinking about addressing whatever people want to address they name ADHD:

  • Winding up period, speed to start work on something, becoming cognitively awake to perform a task
  • Keeping oneself working on a task
  • Pursuing different ways to solve a task and actively searching for a solution, not just hammering a head over the problem
  • Quickly switching to and from different activities to return back to your task
  • Avoiding / suppressing distractors, whatever they are
  • Physical speed of performing any activity, including supporting ones (moving, writing, manual, mental)
  • Energy and stamina to continue the work for prolonged periods of time

These are all connected and each should be addressed separately or addressing it should be made redundant by oversaturating other areas.

Important that no of these is up to accuracy or quality, they can be at bare minimum to consider a bout of work successful if the goal is to condition one to an activity and push through barriers to execute it. Quality overzealousness is the problem of school systems that use grading as a goal (of course there’s a goal, but it’s not a grade), maybe this is the contributing factor to development of ADHD symptoms.

I looked up the so called symptoms.

I feel like these can apply to everyone on the planet.

And also, each of these can have a Thousand different reasons.

Definitely, all of these are also typical mainstream self-sabotage symptoms.

So as the expert that I am, I would now need to diagnose all of humanity with the “self-sabotage syndrome” aka “SSS”, lmao.

Yet, they are throwing everything into the same basket lol.

This is like cooking a soup and literally throwing everything you have into the boiling pot. And then being diagnosed with “pot syndrome”.

There are people who have legitimately inability to do simple tasks for whatever reason, medications today resolve their issues.

There are many people who have significantly worse studying or work concentration from what is expected from society, now it might be without any actual deficiency per disease definition. But for the lack of better term this one is used.

I agree, however these people are probably really in the minority and much fewer than what we see on social media where everyone whom I see pushing the ADHD agenda is mostly simply a lazy bum looking for excuses and attention.

Yes, as mentioned above by Replay, our biological brains at this stage are simply not yet ready for our new culture and technological advancement. Which is the collective challenge of us as a human species as a whole – adapting to a new world. It affects everyone and therefore maybe should be simply called like it is:
“The Challenge of Adopting to the Modern World”

It is not a “disease” or “dysfunction”, but simply a “collective challenge”.

Yes, I agree, likely branding it as a medical issue is because of pervasive negative conditioning culture that is against improving anything if it isn’t considered a problem.

If ADHD isn’t real, how Im going to justify my stimulant addiction?

Seriously though, I think focus, motivation etc. are on a spectrum and being on a lower end of this spectrum is classified as a disease and gets medicated, but for some wierd reason we don’t prescribe people on the lower end of strength spectrum on steroids.

But aren’t these very multi-faceted things?
With many many different factors from very different vectors contributing to each of them?

Very often, life is not as simple as an RPG game in our computers, where you have a spectrum of something and can simply invest stat points into “Focus” or “Motivation” or “Willpower”.
In real life, these are aspects that depend on a multitude of various other factors.
Or in other words, your “focus” and your “motivation” are the result of many other different factors playing together.

I have come to realize that while thinking in spectrums is better than thinking in black and white, it is still not enough to describe the complex interplay of all the factors of reality.

I think as stated above the mismatch in biology and innate nature with culture and societal systems.

Making boys sit for 6-8 hours a day from a young age is simply insane and truly unhealthy. Girls too, but I observe it to a greater degree in males.

When you go against your innate nature, the body and brain - because it IS genius - will always create alternate routes for expression of the energy, creativity and life force impulse that is pulsating through these kids and adults.
