Got a notification from my youtube music app that sapien medicine released a new album, so at first i thought it was a scammer or fake channel so I came looking for it here on the forum and it is legit!
I did not expect a new release around this time, what a blessing! Is this something that was already created before Dream decided to pull back and is just now uploaded by Sammy or is this something recently created? Dont want to get my hopes up so I’ll just patiently wait and see how this unfolds :raised_hands:

Also thanks for adding the explanations @Rosechalice

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was an animal that helps you to totally relax , like a koala or a sloth haha :joy:

Salamander — The keeper of the threshold between water and fire, the body that survives the element meant to destroy it. I was here before your stories about me, it would say; you decided I came from flame because you only ever found me fleeing the heat — but I keep the cold inside, and that is the secret. I am not the fire. I am the thing it could not catch. The old smiths knew, and left a dish of water at the forge — not to quench the iron but to give the Unburnt somewhere gentler to go. Strip away the myth and the entry is plain: a cold thing found near fire, surviving by leaving.

Moth — Devotion without discernment, the soul that mistook a porchlight for the moon and loved it anyway. Don’t pity meI have chosen the brightest thing in the dark and given myself to it completely, which is more than you have done with anything. Lowest of the sky-gods and most beloved, for it is the only one that fails; its faithful pray not for success it has never had but for the courage to be ruined by something luminous, its only sacrament the singed wing offered freely. The bestiary keeps just the fact: flies at light, does not learn.

Hummingbird Queen — A heartbeat that learned to fly; ferocity disguised as delicacy. Everything you call fragile is a furnace — I am closer to death every night than you will be until your last, I go cold, I nearly stop, I come back. So do not tell me this air is small. I have paid for it in dyings. The Furnace Crowned, smallest of the burning court, goddess the dying call on — not to be saved but to be shown how to return; they say the first sunrise was simply her waking again out of spite, and the world warmed itself on her refusal. Stark: nearly dies nightly, holds its ground regardless.

Penguin Emperor — Endurance as an act of love, the warmth two bodies make against the largest cold on Earth. I am not noble; nobility is for animals with choices. I stand because the alternative is the end of everything balanced on my feet — so I lean into the others, and they lean into me, and we turn the cold one to the inside. You’d call it love. I call it the only arithmetic that keeps the warmth alive. The Patient Sovereign who reigns by standing still, his commandment the plainest of all: do not move, and do not let go. The entry adds nothing it doesn’t need: stands in the cold, does not put the egg down.

Lynx — The silence between two sounds, the watcher you never catch watching. You will not find me — only the bent grass, the quiet where a sound should be. I am the part of the forest that is always behind you. I am not hiding; hiding is effort. This is simply what I am. The Unwitnessed, god of the edge of sight, no idol ever carved true because no one has seen enough of it to carve; it takes its tribute simply by being the thing in the forest that knows you while you go your whole life never knowing it. The bestiary shrugs: present, unobserved — that is the entry.

Great Shark — Motion that cannot stop or it drowns; ancient, indifferent purpose, older than trees. I have no quarrel with you, and that is the part you can’t forgive. You want a monster with a grudge and instead you get me — emptied of everything but motion and need. I do not hate. I do not hunt you. I move, and the sea decides what falls into the moving. The Old Indifference, eldest of the drowned pantheon, already swimming before anything had a name to pray with; it grants nothing, forbids nothing, cannot be angered because it was never angry. Cold on the page: moves, eats what the moving meets, no record of intent.

Gecko — The small defiance of gravity, belonging to every surface. Your floor, your wall, your ceiling — these are your words, not mine. I have only ever known one surface and it goes everywhere. You spend your life obeying a direction; I climbed out of “down” before you noticed it had a grip on you. Watch me cross the glass, then tell me which rules are real. The trickster of thresholds, least feared and most freeing, who broke a law no one knew was breakable and suffered nothing; its whole priesthood is the children who love it, its single teaching chirped from an impossible perch. And the entry, deadpan to the end: ignores down, no consequence observed.
