And remember soul mate != twin flame, and twin flames are just as much an opportunity for growth as they are star crossed lovers. They can be extremely rewarding relationships but they can also be severely debilitating.

I think you can have multiple soul mates, and that even non-romantic relationships can be soul mates. IMO it’s a fancy term for a sacred bond, and it doesn’t even have to be forever, because things are both forever and not, all at the same time. I feel it’s subjective and a relationship has whatever meaning you make of it.

Yes. This specific thing is very very different from a soul mate. Soul mates are two separate souls who have a lot of positive karma/history. Their experience is free flowing, everything feels easier, the magnetism never really stops.
Twin Flame phenomena involves being entangled with someone who has your same soul frequency.
It’s confusing and challenging — always ends up in some kind of separation due to the push-pull magnetize-repulse polarity between the two incarnations. Meant to spark ascension moreso than be a happily ever after kinda thing…

Well, anything woo can still have truth to it. If astrology is woo, is it not also possible it’s a rough categorization system of similar personality traits and how various energies coincide with specific alignments?
If twin flame is woo, is it not also possible it’s simply an archetype of those we are fatally attracted to? People who we fall deeply in love with but who have all the personality traits to push every last button and boundary we have? Soul mates being people who we can grow deeply in love with and are an equal match across our differences?
To dismiss something entirely as woo is just as dangerous as buying into every facet of a potential woo imo.
