Anyone tried out red light therapy devices for an extended period of time?

Anyone here tried a red light therapy device for a longer period of time?

I know we have fields. It’s just that I never stuck to those in particular for a longer period of time.

I kept hearing about red light therapy and it’s benefits on podcasts and in videos like the Erling haaland video and his fitness routine that ends with a session of red light.

There are supposedly a plethora of benefits. So I bought a little device, it’s like a little panel and it mixes visible red light and near infrared (I think the wavelengths were 660nm and 850nm). I’m just on day 2 and it feels good on the face I would say but I wanna see and experiment for a few weeks.

Anyone have any experiences with those devices/panels?

Yeah I do, and the key is consistency. I started with bulbs (those are tricky and get very hot) and I have a face one (quite nice as it straps to the head and has a 10-minute duration) , a head one (good for stimulating the scalp) and a panel (which I haven’t used, although I’ve had it for awhile now).

Make sure you cover your eyes while using

The bulbs, while hot, were very good at healing the skin (I monitored it for another person). I think they were a first iteration of using red light and I had to buy the bulbs and then find clip holders and figure out how to make them usable and configurable. I can definitely vouch for the tissue repair.

I think the panels and body-specific wrapping devices are brilliant. They have torso wraps and blankets, so pretty much every part of the body can have the red lights contoured to them.

I found the head device to be soothing and relaxing and it had a definite effect of new growth and strength. The only thing is working them into your routine. They cannot be used every day. A few days’ break must be taken.

The face wrap comes with goggles and is not used everyday. I have taken quite a break from that one, but will start up again and come back with more specifics.

I also saw those face mask devices, would you say that there is a particular benefit having it that close to the skin?

What I do now is set up the panel, keep it around 30cm away (12inch) and I play one round of plasma light because that’s almost exactly 15 minutes.

Yes having it close to the skin with the eyes protected is a benefit. And it turns itself off.
