So, I caugh the flu and I am recovering from it now.
What stands out to me is the strangeness of the dreams I had.
I sometimes have strange dreams like everyone else but it seems to me that there is something peculiar about these “fever dreams”.
In one instance I had a dream about a highly complex topic with thousands of details and the plot was something along the lines of choosing the best combination of all these details to make it…
Not only is this itself pretty bizarre, but I also got a very bad headache from thinking about all these complex structures in my dream lol
The next dream I had was in a sort of jungle where I was with superstitious people who have been left behind by civilization. There was a sort of oven in the middle of the room and one of them brought a monkey on a stick in and said they were going to roast/sacrifice the monkey in a sort of ritual but I was against that as I had the feeling that there is something evil being freed in the process.
Poor monkey.
So, do you have similar experiences to share? Do you happen to know why dreams become so weird when one is ill?
I remember I read about this in one of Dr. Dispenza’s books where he said that as a child he liked it when he had fever because then he would have very intense dreams.
I think it’s a similar situation to when you do a deep work of removing the unconscious limits, that is, when you dream of strange, sometimes monstrous marks and those monsters displayed represent those present in the subconscious that are being released. I therefore believe that all these dreams are therapeutic, in the case of diseases it could be that through the dream the limits that caused the disease are released, because every disease never begins in the physical, the physical body is always the fulfillment of the process it has had. I begin within. Positive message then, in my opinion.
Interesting answers. I also thought this could be the case because you are forced to rest so your body can repair itself. And because of the urgency the body is put into a very deep rest.
Which could mean that the connection to the subconscious mind goes deeper than usual.
This could explain the strangeness of the dreams since the deeper you go into the subconscious the more abstract and less “real-life-like” the imagery becomes.
I talked to someone about it and they said that they only experience dreams where they think a lot about something when they have fever, only to wake up with a bad headache…
