With me after 15 days I usually get some looks, but it’s really not absurd, it’s not like I’m a star or the center of attention, I usually get a little more attention from men too, it’s like they like to talk more with me, but my goal was never to make nofap to win women in any way, it is more a matter of spiritual evolution.

For me it was more a matter of pride. I wasn’t proud of the fact that I was masturbating. If you see my earliest post, I don’t even admit that I masturbated. I was that ashamed of it.

It’s technically exploiting a loophole in your physiology. Most animals can’t simulate sex with their hands. We can. It’s not meant for that (which is why you get such a huge reward because your body thinks you have propagated your DNA).
I don’t know what it was but I literally only relapsed once (within 2 days of starting) before coming this far.

Dude, I don’t think that’s the case, some animals in nature also masturbate, and how do you define what is natural and what is not natural? See the world around us and everything that was created, can we say that all of this is natural? Animals are different from us, they cannot be compared to us, we are aware that we can or cannot do that, wouldn’t all technology and evolution also be something outside nature?

Evolution isn’t perfect. It’s very rudimentary. So you can trick it a lot of the time. Like with masturbation, you’re giving yourself a reward without working for anything. Do you get where I’m coming from?
It’s like if you could get full without eating anything.

Who cares if we’re “exploiting” evolution? Evolution, unlike some conception of God / gods, is neither capable of being wronged, nor does it act as some kind of cosmic judge.

Man I don’t see it like that, why should we work to get sex? Even nowadays, the view about sex is that the man needs to work to achieve this, while the woman gives in, the woman will give it to me, but how can I give it? Give me what? Pleasure? Both give each other pleasure, the woman is not giving you anything, I don’t think sex is something you need to strive for, it is simply something that both parties want.

Well that’s not exactly what I meant. I don’t view evolution as a God to please. Just that it’s a way to ensure the human species gets better (or more adapted to the environment). We basically have gotta use evolution to our own advantage.
She views you as worthy and is giving you the opportunity to pass on your genes. That’s how I see it. And you have to work for that worthiness.
Also because women have to invest a lot more energy into creating babies (pregnancy), they are the ones who get to choose partners. By default, women receive too many requests. And so she’s literally choosing out of the many requests she gets. Yes she wants it but to a much lesser extent than we do.
Sex does not exactly mean that you are going to have children.

Yes but on a subconscious primal level, it does. That’s what your body thinks it’s doing.

Maybe you don’t think that explicitly, but I am just pointing out that the way you talk about it (and I am sure you are not alone in that) seems to make sacred this “rule”. Similarly, we do we have to use evolution to our advantage? Why is it not valid to choose to our personal, or even collective disadvantage?
Also, as far as getting better as a species (and continuing to assume there has been macro-level evolution), evolution leads to changes that adapt to a given environment, making a group better able to reproduce. That does not make them better, unless the sole metric for quality is survival. And, even then, the qualities that may allow us to survive one circumstance may doom us in the next one.
Evolution does not mean progress, it is just change.

Agreed. Yeah I misphrased my previous posts by saying better. It’s definitely a better adaptation FOR the specific environment we live in. So for example, we’re better on land while wales are better in the ocean.
Although the fact that masturbation hasn’t been weeded out of our species indicates that it doesn’t really make a difference to our survival and reproduction. Not sure if voluntary abstinence from masturbation (no fap) increases your chances of reproducing or not. Now I’m wondering if masturbation is an intuitive behaviour or a cultural thing (some tribes have never heard of it).
All I can say is that I’m left very confused haha.

It would very much surprise me if there are tribes of humans that have no idea what masturbation is (assuming a proper translation was made of the question and answer). It does not take particular imagination for an individual to rub on a part of his body that is pleasurable.
In fact, I believe I have read that it is relatively common for babies to masturbate, lending credence to the idea that it is an intuitive act.

My case is more for the sake of overcoming an addiction, I don’t like something I can’t control, and I think this is already harming my dopamine and motivation, in short I seek benefits while I end an addiction, it’s time for a rest at least, sapiens audios are definitely helping, and i feel pretty confident in this streak, i’m probably on hold for about 25 days.
