Their was once a movie list on that sammy put up on the sapien website. I tried finding it a while ago. It lead to best movies and it had movies that i have never seen and very unique ones. Some I didnt see on other movie list websites.

hey this idea is very cool, I found this post while I was looking for other things and I see that you are a very experienced cinephile @JAAJ, it’s crazy I think I’ve seen at least 95% of those movies and series that you mention and I agree with your choice in each category at least 70% of them :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::ok_hand:

I would like to make the complete list but it is very complicated to do it from my phone, maybe I will do it later on the PC. But I could say some of the few in which I differ with your choice.

Call me crazy but I was waiting for something to happen when the date arrived lol

but in fact the movie is great and even more so for being from 2009, it is also a great adventure for a man who did everything to save his family that is determination and some divine guidance too ;)

For some reason, some people thought that the end would come in 2000 (at least there were some rumors in Romania, Idk how they appeared, probably some Evangelical folks from America spread more than The Word lol), so I survived one Apocalypse, than at least a couple ones (not major advertisement) between 2000 and 2012, then 21st of December 2012, then a few others, including potential meteorites crashing on/hitting Earth…

Lol, I’m Quite The Survivor, 5 Apocalypses, lol…

C19 (the virus thing) scared me, tbh, but then I realized that it was not the end, Again.

At this point, I’m quite Skeptical lol.

Some folks on the forum mentioned 2024 lol (probably those posts are deleted)…

Well, we’ll see.

Isaac Newton thought that the end will be in 2060 or something like that, based on his calculations.

The Mayans failed, maybe Newtons prediction will fail too.

It pains me that Gladiator, Dragonheart, Braveheart, Powder, Life of Brian, Love me if you dare, Edward Scissorhands, Life is Beautiful, Cloud Atlas, Alien, Avatar, Life of Pi, Ergo Proxy, Akira, Elfen Lied are not included here. But I forgive you, because you included Titanic, Romeo+Juliet and Inception.

Best Historical Drama of the 90s (and one of my favorite movies ever):

Braveheart (1995)

Best Modern Vampire Movie (it’s a tie for me):

Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)

Interview with the Vampire (1994)

(damned Mandela Effect or just my not so brilliant memory, because I remember it’s title to be Interview with a Vampire!)

The 90s seemed to have been an excellent Decade for Movies.

Disclaimer: This list and other lists that I will add, it’s all a work in progress and it’s quite difficult to say for sure which movies are my favorite, quite a lot of them are excellent movies.
