Bhakti Yoga - 'Surrender' to the Supreme Self [Opens - May22]

My heart has been making joyful noise since morning to kickstart this project.

Summary

This is all about Bhakti (devotion, divine love etc.) and surrender in all its forms and ways.

This includes,

  • Concepts of Bhakti Yoga as per Bhagavadgita, and other scriputes
  • Concepts of Narada Bhakti Sutras
  • Concepts of Inspiration from the Great devotees in the History – Prahlada, Narada, Bhishma and many more;
  • Concepts of Guidance from the Great Masters to stay in the path;
  • Realization of ‘The Truth’ through Bhakti Yoga;
  • Concepts of forgiving, appreciation and acceptance of who I am and what I am – The Real Me!
  • Concepts of approaching a deity or a Guru
  • Concepts of the joy of the divine connection
  • Concepts of ‘The surrender’
  • Clarity on the concepts of the World, Self and the Lord
  • Concepts of Bhakti as per other religions, and traditions (Sufi etc.)
  • Release of all misconceptions about Bhakti - fear of god, releasing of doubts etc.
  • Experience Raasaleela
  • Many more…

This is what I felt about this project,

Like a new born child surrender to mom
Like a true student surrender to master
Like a seed that surrender to the soil
Like a true devotee surrender to the lotus feet, and,
‘I’ surrender myself to my Self!

Probably I might create a 3-part series of Karma, Bhakti and Jnana Yoga or might create one inclusive into this…. I’m not sure yet, but things will unfold as the universe guides.

This might start in May or before!

For now, just blocking this idea from being highjacked from growing forum collective consciousness. :pray: :joy:

I’m probably interested in Karma Yoga one :blush:

Is Bhakti Yoga connected with Vishnu and the chanting of devotional mantras?
I’m always deeply touched by the mantra: Om Namo Narayanaya

Interested! would be great if it was inclusive

No, Bhakti yoga means devotion or divine love. It can be towards Shiva, Vishnu or Maheswari or a Guru.
Bhagavatham focus on mostly Vishnu devotees, and Shiva purana on shiva devotees , and Devi bhagavatham on Devi devotees…but the underlying idea is Bhakti in all the sacred texts as I understand.
Great u like it, It is such a powerful mantra… who is not touched by Narayana Astakshari mantra! It’s said that this one mantra is enough to cross this ocean of samsara.

Same! Karma Yoga is the one which works in Kaliyuga aka current times. Wishing everyone who’s involved with this luck though. I’m happy to see projects on Hindu deities. :star_struck:
