Blueprint of the Hara

Through the center of the body runs a golden line of light called the " Hara line ". This line goes far into the earth through the lower body and into the universe through the top of the head. The line connects 2 energy centers - the place of the soul and the Tan den. The Hara is a level deeper than the aura. This level is the level of intention.

So in India, seven centers - chakras - were considered important areas of the human body. In China they were reduced to three points: the forehead, the middle of the chest and the lower abdomen. In Japan, all of them were reduced to one point in the abdomen, the so-called “seika tanden”, which is the center of Hara.

The doctrine of tanden/hara in Japan, having incorporated the ideas of the Shinto aesthetics of simplicity, became a sophisticated theory that had a great influence on the country’s culture as a whole. Being in India a complex, transcendent phenomenon, in China - inextricably linked to everyday life, the concept of Hara in Japan was combined with Shinto ideas about spiritual and physical purification, and the interpretation of its separate “metaphysical” characteristics was significantly simplified. This approach can be regarded as the highest degree of evolution of the concept of Hara.

Hara is a certain vital “center” located in the abdominal region, which determines the physical, mental and emotional abilities of a person, and is also responsible for sensual (and supersensual) perception of the surrounding reality. The system of “nourishing life” was a set of methods aimed at prolonging life and achieving “immortality” and included breathing and meditative practices, the art of geomancy, methods of naturophilosophical and folk medicine and other sections. Hara training is often referred to in Japan by the term “rentan”, which translates as “tanden hardening”. The word “rentan” itself also comes from alchemy, which, among other things, attempted to turn lead into gold. The same principle was applied to humans: their crude physical energy was sublimated into things of great spiritual value, like base metal.

In martial arts and religious ascetic practices, in numerous artistic arts, in professions requiring a high level of skill, in personal perfection and the pursuit of high goals and ideals, the training of Hara has always been given great importance.

Do not read for the faint-hearted

It seems that it was the ancient intuitive ideas of the Japanese about Hara as the locus of a person’s life, emotions and the dwelling place of his soul that led to the emergence of the rite of seppuku. “To reveal hara” here means not only to choose the most painful way of leaving life, but also to show the moral purity of one’s thoughts. Seppuku was a privilege of samurai who were proud of the fact that they could freely dispose of their lives, emphasizing by performing the ritual their strength of mind and self-control, contempt for death. The seppuku ritual required great courage and endurance, as the abdomen is one of the most sensitive places on the human body. That is why the samurai, who considered themselves the bravest, cold-blooded and strong-willed men of Japan, favored this agonizing type of death. If the ritual of seppuku did not have a deep spiritual meaning and did not express the Japanese spirit, the spirit of bushido, then this method of suicide could not be discussed.

This project is the Hara Concept as a synthesis of spiritual, energetic, martial and health traditions of Japan.

:small_orange_diamond: The person who has mastered the Hara is, first of all, a brave man who [fears] nothing and [is] not surprised by anything. One who trembles with fear at the slightest occasion has no power in Hara;
:small_orange_diamond: Secondly, [such a person’s] strength of self-control and endurance increases, and at the slightest trouble or irritation he does not make a fuss, because everything “settles to the bottom” of the Hara;
:small_orange_diamond: Thirdly, [such a person] feels neither heat nor cold, and the sensations of physical pain are greatly diminished. If, for example, during a medical operation, the pain will immediately diminish. [Such a person] stands fearlessly before a naked sword;
:small_orange_diamond: Fourth, it becomes possible to easily master the highest secrets of mastery of various arts, magic, calligraphy, painting, music, theater singing, energy practices, etc.;
:small_orange_diamond:And fifth, [the art of Hara] cures all diseases, health increases, and thus comes creativity, vigor, and a great mood.

When I got this nft, I still have back pain from the next morning to now. Maybe it’s a bit like the concept of kundalini. My body is gradually changing.
