Calling of the Quarters

This track is deeply infused with the energy and idea of the Calling of the Quarters ritual.
Immerse yourself in the enchanting melody of our latest track, a musical journey that pays homage to the ancient ritual of the Calling of the Quarters. This auditory experience invites you to connect with the elemental forces of nature—Earth, Air, Fire, and Water—summoned from the cardinal directions to partake in a sacred communion. To lend their aid and power to whatever you are working on, it is usually done before a ritual and ceremony, to provide energy and protection. As the music unfolds, envision yourself invoking the guardians of the elemental realms, from the ethereal whispers of the sylphs to the fiery roar of dragons, each harmonizing with the fundamental elements they represent.

Each of the four elements is associated with one of the four sides of the world. When calling the elements into the ritual, these directions, also called “quarters,” serve as physical locations from which you draw and invoke the specific energies of each element. Once the circle is made (if you do), the elements can be invited into its sacred space. This can be a fairly simple step or a more complicated process, depending on your preference. Some witches light a candle symbolizing each of them. Some practitioners invoke the elements with x words and ritual hand gestures, while others may simply silently invite them into their ritual space.

Here is one approach to invoking the elements that focuses on the energetic identity of each. This can be done for any type of ritual, or as a way to start your day by grounding and centering with the forces of nature. When you speak to each element, be sure to face its corresponding direction.

Some people call them watchtowers

As the name “watchtowers” suggests, we ask them to protect us and watch over us while the magical ritual is being performed. Thanks to them, we can relax and concentrate on our magic without having to worry about protecting ourselves from negative energy and the like

We also enlist the support and help of watchtowers during other magical activities

Each element is associated with certain properties and aspects. For example, Air has properties that govern our intellect. Therefore, if you are about to perform a magical ritual that is supposed to help you pass an important exam, you can ask this quarter for special help.

Once we have completed the magical actions and are ready to open the circle, it is time to let go of the quarters. Don’t let the terms “call” and “let go” mislead you - we are not actually trying to control the power of the quarters by showing our superiority. After all, you don’t want to piss off the element of Water so much that your toilet explodes, do you?

Always summon and release watchtowers respectfully, thanking them when you finish the ritual. We witches have the power to summon the elements, but hopefully we also have the wisdom to treat them with the reverence and honor they deserve

Thanks for this field @El_Capitan_Nemo
