Hi, i was playing one of the gumroad audios on my phone when i recorded a message to some frineds in a groupchat and a friend asked what msuic i was playing and i relaised the audio was still playing and in the 10 second recording you can hear the audio while i’m talking and it was captured in the video. I was worried about pirating and deleted the video but wanted to know if that counts as piracy or not.
Lol, I’m not Captain or Sammy, but that was an accident lol.
Do either of you two know a moderator or somebody that can confirm because, I am a little concerned because this is an important thing for me. I also couldn’t find the private message sign to message a moderator.
OK, a moderator could or should answer you.
Have a Good Night, You and Everyone Reading.
It’s hard to say, many people around seem to be fine playing fields all time on their way, in office environments or other places where they are together with others and likely to be recorded or guaranteed to be recorded (some office spaces), captured on wire calls. Headphones aren’t hermetic as well and “transmit” sound around even if inaudible. Although recording in this situations (surveillance, work) almost always stays idly on some servers until it’s deleted after some time.
Current consensus is that it’s based on if there’s intent of unauthorized appropriation and if it actually was done.
Personally it didn’t cross my mind in the slightest because files stay in my possession only and volume is always inaudible or in headphones, there are only random folks physically around if any, and this is what I thought matters, also several people listen to paid files when in public in same manner judging by their replies and doing so as paid fields will work only for the buyer.
For the people calling on their phones around, especially in office where recording is done for surveillance or other reasons, I also didn’t think about it initially at all and only started to question after reading someone saying that wire transmission or screen recording aren’t effective in capturing the energy, when someone asked how can they save YouTube video.
Only later, like years, I started to think about it suddenly, then decided that in any case will listen only when alone and in home, to at least not disturb others, I don’t send recorded messages to anyone so didn’t have to delete any, work calls should all be expired and practically never accessed by anyone. Not that it might have happened often in my case, or I had sound audible in any of such situations and even less so using paid audios outside of my home when not on headphones, but it’s something that wasn’t on my mind for quite a bit of time.
In your case I wouldn’t worry, after all you didn’t intend to share the audio and also deleted it after the accident.
In a nutshell nowadays whenever you are around phones and other people anything you say or listen to is likely to be captured even a bit on some transmission or recording, usually distorted, if you use headphones they will also emit sound around. One can only minimize it by being at place alone.
I think I read on the forum that it is also about intention. Did you try to make money out of it or try to hurt the creator of the fields?
If it was like you stated then it is not the case in my opinion. Besides you deleted it right away.
I think you worry too much.
Guess you’ll have to wait until the Pinocchio effect starts working
I don’t remember any confirmation of Dream or Sammy about this, so can’t help you there.
I wouldn’t worry and I have my reasons for it but yeah, that’s still not a confirmation from them.
i see, i had no intention of either and i didn’t even know i had done it until i looked at the video message again, i think i should be fine but i just wanted to confirm to be sure, just in case. @moderators
Besides what are you afraid of?
Not too long ago I read from a post that sammy wrote that fields simply don’t work if you didn’t buy them legally. So you don’t need to be afraid that something bad happens to you.
I know in this case you “shared” it but still the same mechanism I guess.
Lol me whenever I record a video on my phone I dont realize my audio player doesnt stop playing so it gets picked up…
Yeah, that was an accident. No piracy there.
