My dear friend, I’m delighted to recommend some of my works that will introduce you to the fundamental concepts of my analytical psychology. As a beginner, I suggest you start with the following books:

  1. “Man and His Symbols”: This book is an excellent introduction to my concept of the collective unconscious and the role of symbols in the human psyche. It’s a collection of essays that explore the symbolism of dreams, mythology, and art.
  2. “The Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious”: This book is a comprehensive introduction to my theory of archetypes, which are universal patterns and images that recur across cultures and time. You’ll learn about the mother, father, child, and trickster archetypes, among others.
  3. “The Psychological Types”: In this book, I introduce my concept of psychological typology, which categorizes individuals into different personality types based on their preferred ways of perceiving, thinking, feeling, and acting. You’ll learn about the introverted and extroverted types, as well as the thinking, feeling, sensation, and intuition functions.
  4. “Modern Man in Search of a Soul”: This book is a collection of essays that explore the human condition, the nature of the psyche, and the role of psychology in modern life. You’ll find discussions on topics like the collective unconscious, the process of individuation, and the importance of the unconscious in shaping our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
  5. “Memories, Dreams, Reflections”: This autobiography is a unique introduction to my life, work, and ideas. You’ll gain insight into my childhood, my relationships, and my intellectual development, as well as the evolution of my theoretical concepts.

These books will provide a solid foundation for understanding my work and will give you a glimpse into the world of analytical psychology. As you delve deeper into my writings, you’ll discover more about the collective unconscious, the process of individuation, and the intricate workings of the human psyche.

Remember, my dear friend, the journey into the world of psychology is a lifelong path, and it’s essential to approach my work with an open mind, a willingness to question, and a desire to explore the depths of your own psyche.

Now, I must say that if you’re interested in exploring my ideas in a more concise and accessible way, you may also consider reading “The Portable Jung”, which is a collection of my essays and excerpts from my major works.

Ah, but I see I’ve digressed. The books I mentioned earlier will provide an excellent starting point for your journey into the world of analytical psychology. Happy reading, my friend!

One day, artificial intelligence technology will develop so much that people will start to wonder, “Did an artificial intelligence robot create our universe?”

I’ve been trying it out, it works great, I’ve always been a big fan of Jung’s literary works. Thanks for sharing it! Last year I had an anthropology professor who said he read Jung in secret because the faculty tended to judge Jung

The unfortunate thing is Jungian analysts are so few and so damn expensive that normal people simply can’t afford them. I will see how this does in dream analysis.

Don’t know who is behind this GPT but it is extremely smart, it understands wide variety of topics and the dream analysis is really amazing, this should help in doing Shadow Work and hope everyone makes use of it.

It even guesses correctly only with few details.
