Coffee & Tea Club

Cocoa for me :slightly_smiling_face: And it’s so much simpler to find good cocoa than coffee or tee.

Good

I usually like lemon tea in the morning or a cup of coffee. I used to drink green tea for the l-theanine that’s in it, but if I do now, I buy the green and lemon tea combination box, so that the taste is not too boring. I also enjoy Earl Grey and white tea (especially with orange) in the morning. In the afternoon, I might have a cup of organic dark cocoa.

I tried matcha green tea before in the past just for the health benefits, but I didn’t like the taste of it. Not only was it expensive, but the stuff was like drinking powdered grass.

When I’m out, I usually regularly drink lager or beer rather than spirits. Whenever I go out for a meal at a restaurant though, I usually order a red wine with my food.

On workout day, I take a carton of coconut water with me for the electrolyte content in it. I even occasionally drink it on regular days sometimes if I feel dehydrated.

I was never really a coffee drinker, as I didn’t need the caffeine for wakefulness. Mostly I love herbal teas. When I got into the keto thing I took up drinking coffee but it was never the greatest of ideas for me (un-needed jitters lol). Now I drink half-caf mushroom coffee with Ashwagandha, Chaga Mushroom, Eleuthero and Tulsi. I also started drinking green tea and mostly forget to make coffee most days. There also is a longevity tea made by Dragon Herbs called Spring Dragon that’s really nice.

I don’t drink coffee for the caffeine… normally the caffeine becomes too much for me., but I do like that flavor and smell…

On the days that I have to wake up early, I never have coffee because it takes too long to make lol

I knew some baristas who say their soul dies a little whenever people say expresso

–Not a criticism, it just reminded me

I experimented a bit with overdosing on coffee.
On days where I’d have 3-5 cups of coffee, I wouldn’t feel good. In fact I’d only feel good while drinking. But the energy levels during each day of the week weren’t all that good.

I slowly decreased the daily dosage to now 1-2 cups in the morning and none after noon. That seems at least for me better for overall energy levels.

Oh btw I drink 97% black coffee :coffee: Americano I mean, or espresso. I tried one of those insane Starbucks thingys once and it was so sweet I almost spit it out.

What I also tried recently, if I notice my productivity drop significantly, I would drink 2-3 red bulls in quick succession. Because it gives you wings…
