Didn’t clock that bit first time round. How I’m seen is of no concern to me, nor is it my business. I only care how I am on the inside :kissing_heart:

Me too a bit. Really just was curious about folks feelings on dating sites but it seemed to turn into an advice Colum just for me. Not really what I intended. Oh well.

If you know English, then you should know what you have written.

That you are not interested just curious or “asking for a friend” ;)

Haha I think it’s some UK slang, endearing…Maybe she didn’t think it could be taken differently. I don’t see ill intent. They have all sorts of silly phrases other English speaking countries find odd. :joy:

Well, then ok, I wrote “Excuse me?” as rather a question what did she mean, she didn’t really answer. But in that case, good.

“Being a single mum and usually with at least one your children doesn’t afford much opportunity. And even if a guy did approach me when I was with one of them I wouldn’t think much of that”

Whats this then?

I think that part made us believe you were interested

I was stating my experiences and then wanting to hear what others were. I didn’t complain about the advice. But it wasn’t what I had intended when I posted. This is why I end up leaving forums. Not talking to folks in person leaves too much room for misinterpretion. Don’t think meant for this at all. Have fun guys.

If you want to ask what someone means, maybe say ‘what does that mean’ or ‘i don’t understand that’. Saying ‘excuse me?’ comes off as snarky af where I’m from and won’t really be regarded as something to answer. Again with the misinterpreted not in person stuff, as above. Meh.

:rainbow::heart: oh me too, me too! How funny that me and my children saw the end of a rainbow that graced our skies the other day. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: And anyway, being an adult is most heavily over rated. Having been one for a long time now I studiously rebel against the whole concept.

Nooooo! I had crumpets and butter for the firs time in years just three days ago. My gut might not have been happy (white flour and I don’t seem to be pals anymore) but my tummy and heart sure were. :yum:

We couldn’t carry the gold home, my daughter’s heart is made of it and we just couldn’t manage any more
