I would wager that most people find their lost items within hours, though this of course depends on where / how this thing was lost. Perhaps you can give more details.

You’d wager wrong…and lost your wager…the item has been lost for quite a while…to be able to locate it in the same day, when I actively used that field is something else.

My wager was in regards to most people, not your single case. Hence, why I suggested you provide more details to explain why this should be viewed as an unusual occurrence.
