Does the effect it had during the day reverse itself if you take it off at night? For example, if you wear a field like Fountain of Youth, is the anti-aging effect going to reverse and go back to ‘normal’ if you take it off for a while? Should you be wearing it all the time?
As with many things, the specific effects depend on the specific field and your individual experience.
Physical change effects and lasting effects such as chakra growth won’t reverse themselves immediately and go back to ‘normal’, but apart from residual effects or energies you’ve integrated into your energy body, the fields will stop creating further changes once you’ve taken them off.
For example, I think that our energy body can change naturally over time to incorporate things from fields such as more mindfulness or confidence, even when the field isn’t worn.
Healing gained from Advanced Healing won’t reverse and weight lost from Fat/Weight Loss won’t reverse as a result of removing the field, but further weight can always be gained again and damage can be done in the natural course of life.
Sometimes it can help your physical and energy body to integrates changes to remove the field, such as with the Cognitive and Memory Enhancement field. Some people have found that wearing fields for a shorter length of time at first can help their energy system integrate the field. Some fields, such as Glory or Unlimited Energy, are uncomfortable or not advisable to wear whilst sleeping. Other fields might not be integrated as well if only worn sometimes. So it really depends on the specific field and what you feel best with.
In the case of the old Longevity pendant, the Time Displacement subfield would age you backwards at the same rate you would typically age forwards.

Time displacement: This is not time travel, it is a slow progression backwards in time, as far as cellular information is concerned. This is actually a process that is constantly seeking the information that made up your cells before, when they were younger and replaces the current information with the older info, making you younger.
The reason this only works on day at a time is that to go much faster requires greater energy from a persons body, and would eventually cause possible systems failure if taken to too high a level. One day at a time is the normal living pattern of humans, and we deal very successfully at that level of change.
When you remove the field, your cells will begin to age forwards again. So if you were to wear it for 16 hours and remove it for 8 hours, your cells would age backwards 8 hours.
However, the Skin Elasticity Enhancement field might have a more lasting effect.
Skin Elasticity Enhancement: This field simply adds a bit of elasticity back to older skin. It does so by using a copy of a field pattern from a young child (only as far as healthy skin goes however!) and will allow for skin to firm and tone a bit faster than it would otherwise. This is not really needed to make the field set work, it just aids in helping people feel a bit better about their appearance faster, which is one of the main focuses of people interested in longevity. If you skin is already of very good elasticity, this field will only maintain this condition.
This is specific to the old Longevity pendant and may differ from the Eternity field, which may have a different cellular recapture subfield.
