Astral Projection

Has anyone here studied and performed astral projection before? Is/was it beneficial and is it worth pursuing? What benefits or negative effects may result from performing astral projection? I’ve read a few books about it, but I’ve never committed to the practice long enough to do it. I’ve also questioned whether learning the skill is worth the time and effort. Any thoughts?
