Well, I try not to judge, plus every soul has his/her place in this world, no matter how they arrive(d).
Late to the race, but they Made it. 
Also, they’ll make their parents happy, so win-win.

Good for scifi but ethically very wrong, you are trapping the soul which decided to take on a vehicle to experience life on earth and putting it in prison as long as you wish. Don’t know where humans are going with this but messing up with mechanics of birth and playing god is a strict no!

@Kalacakra Do they have a soul from that stage or rather/better said a soul inhabits a body at a later stage (so then, perhaps, we can not speak about inprisoning any souls in this case

From what I know a soul chooses a mother and a family to play out its karma, before conception happens and wait for the embryo to develop enough to enter into it and make itself the home. Indian scriptures give out the timeline when a soul enters the womb of a mother, the point I was making if you mess up with embryo you are throwing roadblocks in the birthright of another soul, preventing it to be with the family it chose. It may be a very long time before soul finds a similar family to play out its karmic balance and wait patiently for it to happen.
Also as per new age universe, the vibration of the embryo is set and the soul find its vibrational match to play out its karma.
Humans are just too arrogant to think about these, there will be repercussions definitely.
@Desiree np and it is same as someone in the final stages of cancer who wants to die but the doctors say just deal with the pain but we won’t let you die. Because you are our guinea pig to achieve our triumph over cancer and become immortal shortly. The birth and death are in the hands of your higher self, mortals just throw in roadblocks and delay a soul’s growth for god knows how many years or decades or even longer.

Science has long forsaken ethics, in science it is always majority against minority. If something is approved by a board of egotistical maniacs the world or at least scientifically blinded people will say yes without thinking about consequences.
I believe all the channelling and alien intervention happen for humans to prevent from getting exceedingly arrogant.
