Ethical Concerns About Creating a Servitor

Are DreamWeaver’s servitors living beings or just programmed energy systems without self-awareness?

My conscious isn’t super comfortable with creating an entity and have it serve me…

I don’t really like the idea of being served either… so I haven’t directly created a servitor. But I have picked up and designed a few projects that are servitors.

In general, I don’t like the sort of hierarchy of giving orders and just having things done for me. I like to have a dynamic where there is more collaboration. So, when I’ve designed servitor projects, that’s something I’ve included–a sort of give-and-take quality that is required when working with them. I try to maintain that with projects that other people have designed as well.

Servitors are, according my understanding, intelligent energetic technology.

And in the same way a computer is intelligent physical technology and serves us here in the physical, a servitor is intelligent energetic technology and serves us energetically.

Technology is technology.

You are using your computer with your physical body and physical senses and it serves you.

And you are using your servitors with your energetic body and conceptual commands and it serves you.

There is not much difference and I believe the ethical concerns are unjustified.

Some people give their computers or cars names.
And we also usually give our servitors names.

Treat your technological tools well and with love, and they will all serve you as long as they can.

I’d say the sacred bond of it as a campanion. Watch Dark Material on hbo on how an alternative reality everyone knows they there own deamon physically visible

Thank you all for your thoughts.

@JAAJ , my computer isn’t self aware. I’m asking whether or not DW’s servitors are self-aware.

I cannot tell for sure.
Let’s hope Dream or Sammy will give us a clear answer.

The question would also be, can one consciousness create as many other pieces of consciousness as it wants?

Or would the consciousness need to fragment itself first so that a fragment of it can animate a piece of matter/energy construct?

Or is the consciousness of the source infinite and we can borrow pieces of consciousness from the source to animate things/energetic constructs?

I also had the same inquiry. I understand dragons, fae, unicorns, angels, etc to be multidimensional beings. I have been told many years ago that conjuring and binding oneself with entities/beings is usually always forced upon them. They aren’t choosing to be with us, but forced to because we’ve made them through the energetic binding.

A healer once told me that as long as any energy like this is connected to you, it will feed off some of your energy (quantity unknown), and also does not have the ability to leave (no freedom). I’m curious if the servitors here are the same as the olden day witch/wizard conjured beings. I also have difficulty possessing a servitor, even the kindest ones. Would love some clarification on this from Dream/Sammy so that I can feel less ignorant on the topic :innocent:

But also keep in mind that the beings you are mentiniong here are NOT servitors, but independent species with their own souls and personalities.

The question here in this thread is related to servitors only.

Well, since I’m not the only one curious on this, let’s tag them and see if they’ve got spare time to comment.

I think the confusion for me is for example one of the NFTs such as negentropic dragon, or dragon bone armor. Do these have a dragon spirit or a computer generated version of a dragon spirit? Seems like the question is along the same lines posed in this inquiry. But maybe I’m incorrect, hence the question. Might be good to ask this in the webinar next week :innocent:

They could be programmed energy systems with self-awareness.

I think the source of worry stems from a good source, a devotion to some form of egalitarianism. When applied to humans, egalitarianism is a means to promote levels of fairness and accord everyone some dignity. As applied to entities that are not subject to the status systems, I think the concern is misplaced.

I’m not sure these issues even apply. I mean, I never felt that I was “serving” a dog while feeding one or a lesser being for participating in a too long fetch session. Dogs need food and exercise. And they can, if you train them, bring you your shoes instead of eating them. There’s no loss of dignity to either party.

@Unconditional This is our answer as well. Servitors are programmed energy patterns with the form of entities but without the autonomy to make them feel like conscious beings. Since AI is the hot topic these days, a servitor is literally like an energetic AI. You give it commands and it energetically works out your intentions for you or to influence the world around you in subtle ways.

The servitors we make are programmed to not do harm to others you or others so it does have its safeguards. It is programmed through and through to remain a program and not gain sentience.

Phew, that’s a relief. thank you!
I went back and forth with that dilemma a few times and had not gone through with creating the servitors.

I had purchased the book of cards long time ago, but I guess I had to wait this long to get in this game.

Dream’s Servitors are not Self-Aware Tulpas.

That said, if you know what you’re doing, there is nothing to fear, even with a Tulpa. I created my first Tulpa when I was 15 and a few over a period of time and they all behave.

Dream’s servitors are extremely smart, but they are not sentient/self-aware like Tulpas and hence are very safe even for novices.

Just curious but does this extend to the servitor type fields like Caladrius as well? Because as far as I know Ugnis and others have stated that they (Caladrius and co) are “real” and alive beings, not servitors even though the term is used in the project submission form, so im just trying to make clear what are considered what now

Not sure, as I don’t have this one…

once in one of the groups, the Captain said “if users knew what these creatures are, they would appreciate them more”.

based on some hints in other groups, it was concluded that the captain’s latest works are really recreations of legendary creatures in all their glory

I have no idea how to call them servitors by the standard definition.

we could be wrong, but any opinion is formed on many components

Caladrius has its own history even before we know that being’s name.

Caladrius real being is different from Caladrius servitor.

But dream is powerful enough to make its “replica” with the same abilities and form as the real one.
