Ok, I see, there have been and are things that suck. Things that kept annoying and couldn’t get fully resolved. But like, in pretty much every country, there are issues and people being very angry about it. But in that, one may overlook what’s been already achieved and good, I don’t think grass is greener on any other side.

The European project is pretty much the most successful political project in the modern history. Countries that fought and rivalled each other now much more united, we got free trade, free movement, etc etc etc and can together achieve much more than if all were separated.

They did kind of bet on certain things and those are changing and are inevitable - reliance on cheap Russian energies and American protection (as well as other things). Things shifted and now it’s time for Europe to become more whole and sovereign - build and integrate its own military, diversify energies, go with more renewables, coordinate and integrate more etc. May not be easy and comfortable, and likely will never be ideal, but it’s much needed.

Rn, there are rather new challenges, but there’s potential and way forward, through gradual integration and dialogue, not shutdown, nor stagnation. UK left EU and regretted it deeply.
