After thinking for a while, not relying on forum software addons which can be unreliable due to many reasons such as the risks of updates breaking things or having external hosting source, this may be the only best way to go

maybe we can create a poll, or multiple polls and add each member, and whoever wants to vouch for the member, can vote

The thread would be a simple thread in the classified section. If a user has a positive interaction with another user doing a trade, they can simply post something like “traded X with Y on 2/10/22. Trade went smooth!”
