Frag Lovers and Scent heads! (Cologne and perfumes) 🄰

Yeah, that might help but I think some fragrances are more synthetic than others. Perhaps some allergic reaction can occur, like I like my spicebomb but this one I just can’t really wear lol

Bro, there is a new one I recently tried. It’s from Afnan called ā€˜Rare Reef’. And it’s very good. I can’t say how close it is to Pacific Chill from LV cuz I had never smelt it. It wasn’t something that caught my attention. Hell, I still don’t know how "Imagination’’ smells lol… Even with all the hype …Though I heard many great things about them and how they are really mass appealing, but I dunno. More into niche smells. I do love designers too though… Rare Reef does have Similarities to Xerjoff’s Torino 21 tho, which I love. It’s not a 1-to-1, but I think it’s very pleasant. Like a bright Orange scent, wit other citrus nuances. It’s not very expensive too. I might end up coppin it. To me, it’s strong but not overpowering like the one CDNT lol

I heard the new Spicebomb is more versatile bro, because of the musk. (Sounds exactly like Initio’s ā€˜Rehab’ to me lmao) Like you can wear it year round… Also, to anyone reading this, DO NOT TRUST FRAGRANTICA. So much bs on there and trolls lol… there have been so many times when I heard the craziest insults dedicated to specific scents, and I tried it and I was just in love… Some comments are geniune tho, but they are generally easy to decipher. lol

I really wanted to get Prada l’homme, @This_Boy_Here have you tried this one before?
I hear it’s quite an elegant scent

Yes, I tried it like a year ago, amongst alot of others. I think it’s great. It’s a sophisticated, mature, fresh, powdered, sweet, clean, floral scent. I would say most women love it and think it’s sexy, but it’s not something I gravitate to. It doesn’t really stand out to me. Just smells like a luxorious laundry detergent lol…The perfomance is also lacking to me, but would be great for the office for this reason. I do feel it’s versatile, but I would see me more being dressed up than down, while wearing it. Might have to revisit it though, but when I smelt it before, it didn’t wow me. It just smelt really nice to me.

Dropping in to thank @This_Boy_Here for the great tips I got in this thread back in… oh whoa, January. I promised to report back and so…

I managed to get my nephew a nice range of samples (the idea being I’d buy him his favorite in full size) and he ended up wearing Nina Ricci to please his girlfriend. You read that right. Nina Ricci. I don’t know the name of the fragrance but it’s very sweet and not outdoorsy at all.

I tried very, very hard to not judge. It’s just that my poor face has subtitles even when I’m giving my bestestest ā€œneutral and lovingā€ performance

Anyway, he’s happy, I’m happy that he’s happy and I appreciated the tips.

I am pretty sure you will love this one as well. Just don’t expect great performance. lol Did you ever decide to get the Initio ā€œOFG Neoā€? That one is awesome.

I do too lol… I still had my sample of Creed’s ā€œPure Whiteā€ and OH MAN… What a regal powder scent… I only wear it in a suit though or dressier occasions. But I forgotten how good it smelt!

Damn, your nephew is advanced! That’s awesome! Lots of younger dudes have complexes and programming… :slightly_smiling_face: It took me a couple of years diving heavily into fragrances to get to where I no longer cared if a fragrance was marketed to ā€˜men’ or ā€˜women’. Hell, I know lots of old heads who be like "Oh hell no! That’s for women!ā€˜ā€™ Their loss  Then there are women that say, "It’s too feminine’’ when they smell it on paper, but then when they smell it on a man’s skin they get swooned. :joy: I say just wear what you like and trust the outcome. Always remember, most fragrances smell completely different on paper than it does on skin

Lately I have been into masculine fragrances lol… Someone bought me a bottle of Sospiro’s Basso, and it’s awesome. Though I need to be dressed up to wear it, as it’s too sophisicated for casual wear. They say it’s like Vibrato’s older brother. Nishane’s ā€˜Papilefeko’ is another awesome masculine scent too.

Not yet but really looking forward to this one

It’s been months since I let my Vibrato bottle macerate, and it’s definitely improved. Smells alot more pleasant now. It’s very good in the air. Though I still considered my peak Batch of Alexandria’s Black Panther to more superior, this one has definitely came around. In the air is where it really shines. The performance also has gotten better as well
