I’m rocking the V&R Spicebomb Extreme but the projection is no longer there. I think this bottle is from 2022 so my guess is they changed something, smells nice but doesn’t project

It really depends. I know my old batch of ā€˜Black Panther’ from Alexandria, after 3 years of being properly stored, became one of my strongest and most pleasant fragrances to date. I had posted about it somewhere on here… (It’s one I wore the most cuz I love the sillage, and prolly the most complimented in my whole collection) I have posted bout it before, but I remember this one girl told me she knew I was in the room (Before she saw me) cuz she could smell me from like 8 ft. away, cuz the sillage was so beastly when I walked. I’d recently revisited my new batch of Sospiro’s Vibrato and new batch of Alexandria’s version, and they’re definitely becoming stronger than some months ago and growing into what they are supposed to be. Though not at full potential yet. Proper storage is key. I keep mine if dark and cool spots. Some even in the fridge.

Yep I store away from heat and moisture, kept the bottle for like 2 years now but I think I may be nose blind because my mom told me she can smell it from afar.

I’m glad I never experience that bro. But some of my friends who are into fragrances also go anosmic to some of their fragrances as well. But yeah, usually high oil concentration fragrances will not get weaker or go bad within a couple of months. One of my bros has one of his bottles for 8 years and it was still good. lol

The Armaf club de nuit man intense is such a beast. I let it macerate and it perfoms, it’s the EDT version that I have.

I never tried this one… I was thinkin bout getting it cuz I heard it’s close to the OG Aventus. Aventus smells very good, but I am not a big fan. But would love to layer it with my other scents. I think it’s one of the best and versatile fragrances to layer with. I also heard it doesn’t have pineappple like the og as well. I been loving Black Phantom sample so much… I layer it with Dark Knight since they smell identical. I love love love this scent haha… I spray on like every night as well.

After yesterday I think i’ll stop with the Club de nuit, it’s way too strong for me lol
One day I’ll try black phantom. The notes seem nice

A question for the Forum Scent Master, Mr This_Boy_Here :

Do you know Etat Libre D’Orange, Hermann A Mes Cotes Me Paraissait Une Ombre

Bro, just go with one spray if it’s too much haha…

Also, before trying Black Phantom, just know… It’s not very versatile lol… It’s more of a special occasion, night time, date night, fall and winter fragrance. (I mean, one can techinically wear any fragrances when or how they want but you know what I mean) Since this is a very dark, deep and rich fragrance, I also only wear this fragrance with dark clothes (If I am going out), couldn’t imagine wearing it with brighter clothes lol… sucks cuz I love white jeans/pants. haha

As of right now, it’s in my top 5 for life, so I also have two other dupes of it. Black Phantom is expensive. Lol One is from Dua, and the other is from Alexandria. They both outperform the OG, but dua’s is much stronger in projection, and it’s alot darker /heavier than Alexandria’s and the OG from Kilian. I love Alexandria’s version cuz it’s not too overpowering, and it’s still rich, but less heavier. That way I can wear it to more places and in the house before I sleep as well. Dua’s would be great for when it’s super cold outside, or when you go somewhere special. Though I need to let them macerate more, to see what the fully become. Also, don’t try it if you don’t like vanilla, dark chocolate, rich caramel, and deep rich dark coffee scent. But the notes are blended so well. There is a rum scent to it too, but it’s not in the forefront like Hafes 1984. IMO, it enhances the overall scent to make it richer.

I only had smelt one from this brand! But cannot remember which it was, but I liked it alot. I would love to try more though. But I heard they are not for anyone lol… Any suggestions bro? Also, I will check out the other one as well. I love French brands. I like to sample them when I can

Yeah, that might help but I think some fragrances are more synthetic than others. Perhaps some allergic reaction can occur, like I like my spicebomb but this one I just can’t really wear lol

Bro, there is a new one I recently tried. It’s from Afnan called ā€˜Rare Reef’. And it’s very good. I can’t say how close it is to Pacific Chill from LV cuz I had never smelt it. It wasn’t something that caught my attention. Hell, I still don’t know how "Imagination’’ smells lol… Even with all the hype …Though I heard many great things about them and how they are really mass appealing, but I dunno. More into niche smells. I do love designers too though… Rare Reef does have Similarities to Xerjoff’s Torino 21 tho, which I love. It’s not a 1-to-1, but I think it’s very pleasant. Like a bright Orange scent, wit other citrus nuances. It’s not very expensive too. I might end up coppin it. To me, it’s strong but not overpowering like the one CDNT lol

I heard the new Spicebomb is more versatile bro, because of the musk. (Sounds exactly like Initio’s ā€˜Rehab’ to me lmao) Like you can wear it year round… Also, to anyone reading this, DO NOT TRUST FRAGRANTICA. So much bs on there and trolls lol… there have been so many times when I heard the craziest insults dedicated to specific scents, and I tried it and I was just in love… Some comments are geniune tho, but they are generally easy to decipher. lol

I really wanted to get Prada l’homme, @This_Boy_Here have you tried this one before?
I hear it’s quite an elegant scent

Yes, I tried it like a year ago, amongst alot of others. I think it’s great. It’s a sophisticated, mature, fresh, powdered, sweet, clean, floral scent. I would say most women love it and think it’s sexy, but it’s not something I gravitate to. It doesn’t really stand out to me. Just smells like a luxorious laundry detergent lol…The perfomance is also lacking to me, but would be great for the office for this reason. I do feel it’s versatile, but I would see me more being dressed up than down, while wearing it. Might have to revisit it though, but when I smelt it before, it didn’t wow me. It just smelt really nice to me.

Dropping in to thank @This_Boy_Here for the great tips I got in this thread back in… oh whoa, January. I promised to report back and so…

I managed to get my nephew a nice range of samples (the idea being I’d buy him his favorite in full size) and he ended up wearing Nina Ricci to please his girlfriend. You read that right. Nina Ricci. I don’t know the name of the fragrance but it’s very sweet and not outdoorsy at all.

I tried very, very hard to not judge. It’s just that my poor face has subtitles even when I’m giving my bestestest ā€œneutral and lovingā€ performance

Anyway, he’s happy, I’m happy that he’s happy and I appreciated the tips.
