Genesis of Ego & Psychosis

I like these videos. Although it’s really worth it reading through the seminars themselves, even though they’re a little bit occult. I went through psychosis and having read a little bit of Lacan actually helped me get through it and back to a measure of sanity, haha.

It’s also worth noting that Lacan changed some of his ideas on psychoses later on.

It’s very anti intuitive indeed.

His elaborations deconstruct 2500 years of western philosophy and thinking.

On the opposite there is psychology that is still rooted in western philosophy/metaphysics by confusing the Real with objective reality, which causes many subjective effects, such as people becoming imaginarely identified with their diagnosis given by their psychiatrist/psychologist.
