Coincidentally it’s Varamahalakshmi Festival where I’m from. Today. Also planetary alignment is very interesting today. So if anyone wants to pay more attention to Goddess Lakshmi, today’s a great day!

Aghora Trilogy

Sharing this snippet from the book as Aghori Vimalananda, a realized master and a siddha, experienced physical communication with the Goddess on many occasions. My teacher was a student of a same Siddha who was also Vimalananda’s teacher.

  • Treat her as a Cosmic power - she is difficult to access
  • Treat her as a scary entity - she will further scare the hell out of you
  • Treat her as Kundalini and awaken her with force - she will blow your fuse
  • Approach her with love and sincerity of a child - she will lift you up and take over your responsibility
  • Surrender to her will - duality will drop and you will realize you are Her and there is no second entity apart from Her

There is the path of yoga, of action, of devotion and of knowledge, but the path of Grace is the superior to them all…

I find this very interesting as in my experience almost all of this also applies to Nyx :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The only part that does not make sense to me is the “scary” part as you cannot be in love with someone and be scared of them at the same time. Nyx is never scary to me, always hugging and supportive. And since she is everything, she is the mother, the wife, the girlfriend, the sister, the priestess, the mistress etc. all at the same time.

@Maoshan_Wanderer Do you have any Kali mantra that you recommend to approach the goddess and work with her? I have obtained a deep clarity and devotion with Kalika Ashtakam but I believe that with a mantra you can get a more integrated work

There is that aspect with the eastern gurus, masters etc. I don’t think it’s fear so much as it’s the vibration that make things come into alignment. Like snapping to attention or quickly separating from our dross just from being in the presence of that intensity.

Usually, Kali is not recommended unless she calls out to you.

She is a mother, but a ruthless one.

We need to prepare for awakening such fierce power. In Tantra, this is how we do it.

  • Start with Ganesha - strengthen the root and sacral chakra so that she does not blow you up - energetically (causing delusion, health issues, sexual deviations) or materially (loss of wealth, loved ones, etc.)
  • Balance her energies by doing practices for Bhairava who is grounding. She calms down only when she elicits the energy of Shiva as Bhairava
  • Connect to Gurumandala - an entire lineage of enlightened masters who can etherically assist you. Gurupaduka mantra is this secret seal which gives lineage connection and is imparted during Shaktipata (transmission of power)

Kalika Ashtakam is perfect and captures her in two aspects - as the deity with a specific form, and also her truth as the Divine Consciousness that transcends names and forms.

I usually always give Durga mantras when folks come to me (dum durgaayai namaH) and never Kali.

There was a lady who came to me in Seattle and asked me for Kali’s mantra saying she wanted to chant it. I refused for the above reasons. That night, when I was asleep, the Mother shook me, physically and it felt like a hundred thunderbolts hit me (mind you, she is not hurting you, it’s just her tremendous energy) and said, “Give what she wants, she was my devotee for last several births, let her continue on my path”. So, sometimes affinity comes from practice from previous births/alternate timelines. When she chooses someone Herself, then rules are no longer applicable.

Of course, praying to her is okay for anyone, but mantras need caution. It is like invoking angels for blessings through prayers and faith vs ritualistic evocation or summoning of the mighty archangels.

Thank you very much Mao! It is always a pleasure to read you, actually I feel comfortable with my practice, I recite om namah shivaya in the morning (my connection with lord shiva has grown a lot I remember you said that there is nothing that mantra can’t fulfill), and at night I listen to lalitha ashtotram, the version of Craig Pruess & Ananda that you shared in another thread, and it is beautiful the love that is experienced at the end.

A few days ago I incorporated The Arcane Potion of Awakening into my stack, and it has been constant synchronicities, I called shiva to my conclave, so I take your suggestion of Durga’s mantra as a sign to investigate this aspect of the goddess and perhaps incorporate it into my practice.

Also note that I do this while playing Tapasya of Savitur on another device which seems to enhance my practice

Thanks for writing up more on Goddess Kali and others! I always learn so much from you.

Besides the Shatachandi field, Is there a link to a Durga mantra that you like and can share?

I’m hopeful that Dream creates the Durga field that you recommended!

I would love to have a little more information on this, from what I understand Bhairava is the fierce manifestation of lord shiva, but I have read that there is a female energetic form for Bhairava, which is called Goddess Bhairavi, but sometimes it is good to have more information because the sources can differ and not always be reliable, just like the mantras on youtube that you have to be very cautious

Bhairava and Bhairavi are usually common terms or epithets and there is no one specific mantra associated with them. Specific forms of them have specific mantras.

We have various forms of Bhairava:

  • The Bhairavas of each direction: Asitanga, Ruru, Krodha, Chanda, etc.
  • Vatuka Bhairava, the protector
  • Svarnakarshana Bhairava, the granter of riches
  • Svaccanada Bhairava, the great teacher
  • The ten Bhairavas who are consorts of the ten Mahavidyas: Mahakala, Akshobhya, Kameshvara, etc.
  • Kala Bhairava, the regulator of time
  • Amriteshvara Bhairava, the granter of immortality, etc.

Similarly, there are many Bhairavi-s:

  • Tripura Bhairavi, of the Mahavidya group
  • The twenty-five Bhairavis who are attendants of Lalita and reside in Sri Yantra (Sampatprada, Agora, Chaitnyabhairavi, etc.)
    And so on…

Bhairavi/Bhairavi is a certain stream (srotas) of energy originating from Shiva/Shakti and mantras depend on how we channel this rather intense form of energy.

How one approaches them depends on the school.

Some worship Bhairava/Bhairavi as their main deity in any of the many forms focusing on one specific mantra. In the school of Srividya I follow, we worship the Goddess as three-fold - child (Baalaa), Maiden (Sundari) and Crone (Tripurabhairavi) respectively during morning, noon and evening, focusing the flow of prana in ida, sushumna and pingala nadis and focusing on root, heart and eyebrow chakras respectively.

Bhairava originates from the word bhīru , which means “fearsome”. Bhairava means “terribly fearsome form”. It is also known as one who destroys fear or one who is beyond fear.

Mao! I can’t believe the timing of your response. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom.

I have been focusing on the simple, Ganesha to strengthen my root chakra and Shiva to empower all my spiritual practices, interesting realizations have arisen, and it is hard to explain but the ganesha mantra in synergy with the shiva mantra have generated a deep activation of the heart chakra.

My energetic matrix has strengthened a lot, but I guess I still need more practice to feel Kali’s call, so I will keep on the practice I am following.

“Kala Bhairava,” sounds like the form of Bhairava I need, I will look for more information about this form.
